The basic testing is exactly that. It is the same here in Australia. They test emergency braking at 40km/h which is the slowest speed limit in the country and it is only in school zones. Therefore hardly even worth it. The advanced course is a must, even though I haven't done it yet, but I plan to as the basic testing was a walk in the park.
there is a must for the full protective gears in canada. however, some of the riders are not wearing hemlet in US, so i believe the rules are more strict than ever there. if a bike T-bone with any objects, i think it should become ground beef even slower than 30mph. mmmmm

far too easy in the US they dont even have to wear leathers, have you ever seen how a person looks after falling off at just 30mph!!!
