  • @davecameronz They are actually critically endangered. They are officially listed under the Australian Goverment (you can check on w w w . environment .gov . au, the EPBC site. Check it's SPRAT proflile ) as critically endangered. They are very rare and remote, you can only find them in the Northern Territory and Queensland, in only a few spots. I just did a report on them, they are among the top 3 most critically endangered fish in Australia. Just to let you know.

  • This is a temporary holding tank to affect appropriate quarantine processes prior to being transport to the Melbourne Aquarium where it is hoped they will one day breed. Natural aqua-scaped exhibit style tanks are not suitable for quarantine. Since this footage was taken these sharks have nearly doubled their size!
