  • God, just the eerie feeling of thinking that Protoman went down fighting to his VERY last breath, that is such a disturbing thought...

  • Vocals sound quite a bit like John Fogerty in the more intense parts.

  • Thank you Pandora for introducing me to this song!

  • this is epic

  • Badass.

  • 2:54 he says "You are all I have left". Figured I'd clarify things since some people didn't know what he was saying. :)

  • What the fuck is wrong with you people? You're not even trying to understand what he says. It's kinda screamed, but if you actualy try, rather than whine, you'll do it just fine.

Plus, the only line that is realy tough is meaningless. The important there is the desperation with wich it's spoken, thus, the importance is exactly in what makes you not understand it.

  • @JoaoArthurAvzaradel the only one i thought was a bit hard to understand was when he yelled out "you need to know, you are not him, this fights not yooouuuurs"

  • I love the fact they've used a solemn whistle at the beginning and end of this, reminds me of Protoman's theme. Makes sense to play right after his funeral song.

  • This is a badass song to listen to while playing Minecraft.

  • @PowercordTripper2 I was actually JUST doing that.

  • It's "You are all that I have left".

  • 2:53 "you are the only thing i have left" i think

  • I just realized that a lot of this song applies to both Protoman AND Joe.

  • @smnoy23 Oh shit dude. You're right.

  • After listening to Act II, you realize exactly how much Light has lost, and why Megaman is all he has left. And you just want to give him a hug.

  • 2:48 i will keep greiving for the son i sent to death

    2:53 you are afgyhujkogafgjlk

awesome song but that's the only part i cant understand

  • @justinpadulamovies "You are all that I have left" is what is being said at 2:53. I'd suggest you read the lyrics that accompany the songs, because you're missing alot of non-audible actions if you aren't. You'll find it far more enjoyable.

  • @justinpadulamovies At 2:53, he says "YAH-YAH-YAH-YAH-BLEH"

  • @justinpadulamovies "You are the only one I have left"

  • @justinpadulamovies Epic lyric if they could pronounce it.

  • Hair standing on end.

  • Out of all of their songs....this is the only one that I like...I think it's just the style of it lol. Good song none the less.

  • @BackdoorSub7 If you like this then you should hear "The Hounds" from their other album. It's my favorite out of all of them.

  • Why aren't they mire popular?

  • I enjoy the debate about Light's intent wrt/ Megaman's lethality. My interpretation is from the songs/game as source.

I would put forth that Megaman does NOT have the tools for defeating Wily, or even his robot army. However, MM has an adaptability to him (humanish aspect?) which other robots do not have. Essentially, defeating his enemies allows him to gain advantages over other robots. While he probably had a simple gun for self-defense, I'm guessing he grows in strength during Vengeance.

  • @solar97hedgehog

Actually, that's just a whistle... Protoman's is longer and different. The spirit is there, though...

  • @killerkirbydude i think its for that westernish feel they gave some of there songs

  • I think that Light realized that the mistake he made with protoman was not giving him human emotion within his AI, which he did with Megaman. Of course, giving megaman complex emotion came with the price of not being able to say "Go do this", so he had to fabricate a way to make megaman assault Wily's fortress, and telling him the story of his brother did this for him. Also, Megaman couldn't be corrupted by Wily as easily as Protoman because of his complex emotions.

    But you know, that's me.

  • @lamfp I think you're statement is hilarious. And I see what you mean. For me it had the opposite effect. Their weirdness pumped me up even more. I love these guys.

  • My one question is why Light made Rock/Mega if he felt so much regret for the death of Proto... what purpose would he have making another robot/son? company?

  • @k2thereaper It's very common for people who have just lost a child to immediately have another baby. There is a term for this but I can't remember

  • @k2thereaper

I felt the exact same way. I decided it was because he missed Protoman but why would he make Megaman with everything he needed in order to go and fight Dr Wily and then tell him that Dr Wily killed his brother? It seems like the kind of thing he would do if you WANTED him to go and fight Dr Wily.

  • @TheLevoyboy my interperatation is that after megaman decided to avenge his brothers death, he modified himself useing lights tools and original blueprints for protoman

  • @oars44 That comment I made was kind of me being ignorant to the story. What actually happened is quite justified. He made Megaman without even thinking about it, it was just his hands moving on their own the day Protoman died and the next thing he knew it was a few years later and he had Megaman.

  • Rock: I'm going to kill wily, even though you told me to stay.

    Dr.Light: Rock, i am dissapoint.

  • °3° Epic

  • Only a genius could inject such a beautiful story to a jump-and-shoot game.

  • This song gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it. I love it.

  • I think Light just has Angels playing electric guitars following him around. Or something.

Because he's just that tormented. (and badass)

  • Yanno when Light shouts that Megaman is all he has left?

    *Points to Act II.*

    He's not kidding.

  • He was a hero, and your brother and my son.

He fought the darkness, the darkness won...

That's the part that hits me the most

  • "This fight's not yours!"

    "Then I'll make it mine."

    "You cannot win!"

    "I have to win!"

  • @ultimabladerxx Which are???? PM me with them :)

  • i sense favoritism in dr.lights voice

  • cant. stop. listening. help!

  • 4 people don't have ears.

  • @DarkOne23456

Actually, only three of those were earless people.

The other one was a Met.

    Using Wily's account.

  • haha i get it though protemen rock and roll

  • This is probably the best Song/Story I have ever heard. It has real feeling, passion and palpable bitterness. The melancholy of his voice mixed with rock that feels of the old west splashed with a story of hero is what turns this song from an interesting piece to a classic. So all added up I believe that means.. The Protomen FREAKIN ROCK!

  • Im singing this for my schools talent show.

  • For those taking that the wrong way, it is saying a lot. I like all their songs a ton.

  • god... I've been listenning to the protomen, and this is by far one of their best songs.

  • ADDIIIIIICTIVE... @.@

  • *presses play, yet again*

  • @Vulkuner

    that explains my entire afternoon

  • An awesome song for an awesome concept. Would absolutely love to see the full rock opera one day!

  • I saw them live in Gainesville, FL Halloween night 2007 I think. Was excellent. They play live well.

  • If the shadow blocks out the sun?

  • There will be LIGHT!

  • A ballad sung by doctor light I assume

  • i'm kind of dissapointed no one realised you where being sarcastic

  • Me too.

  • yes, sung to megaman to tell him the story of his brother, the one that died for mankind, the protoman

  • Protomen rock

  • ineed

  • @JinzoNingenX They totally Rock, Man.

  • @FostersNation I see what you did there.

  • @FostersNation very clever, sir ;)
