Kobe Bryant is more publicly known world wide but Jay Z like that guy said has stronger influence because people follow him. Whether they know this or not doesn't matter. Jay does business and associates with people like Bill Gates and other big CEOs. honestly, I think its the rappers because like other people are saying you hear them more than the athletes.You hear the rappers having more of a powerful message and also the rappers clever rhyming abilities. This sticks out to the audience more than athletes. Getting into the NBA is really challenging compared to being a rapper.

Kobe gets treatment like that everywhere he goes. Athletes have way more influence than Rappers period. Michael Jordan was the biggest of them all. The last time i saw kobe's face on tv was during the olympics Jay-Z is always on the music channels both hihop and mainstream. Which is a shame cos i quite enjoy basketball.
