I suppose if you're flying IFR then the size of the monitor is rather insignificant, but it does seem a little daft to have such a tiny monitor so far away from the pilot.

First stuff I'd buy are 3 Full HD projectors and a Triple head to go and plug in the cockpit lots of dummies first....than replace them buy real parts step by step......I guess the most important thing to get the real flying feeling is to sit in an isolated cockpit with nothing else to see than this virtual picture......so your eyes will tell your brain that your moving :) This is the way I would build it :)
