  • alright i am looking for video of The Metro 65 blown plymouth, used to match race against arnie beswick and suck, any help is greatly apreciated.

and 51alandee that is a 65 plymouth there is no dodge in the picture and not all superstock cars or pro stock are 4 speeds.....

  • @drivinthebest I filmed the Metro '65 Plymouth many times over the years but we've got 331 different event DVD's so it's be hard to say which event DVD's have footage of the car.

  • how about there was a superstock reunion in 1990 at quakerstate dragway or monster mopar weekend, and do you have a website and how much are recordings?

  • @drivinthebest I don't think YouTube will let me put our website here in the comments area but it is on our YouTube channel and also right in the video on most of our YouTube videos. I don't know about Monster but I do remember the '65 Metro car being at '92, '93 (or both) Rockin' Hemi Reunions at Tri-State Dragway in Hamilton, Ohio and maybe some of the earlier Norwalk Chrysler Classics. Most of our DVD's are $14.99 with free shipping.

  • Raceway Park Englishtown NJ before the major overhaul of the track. we used to watch right on the side of the burnout box. not anymore.

  • @quantico80 I remember those days!

  • I was there and saw this race. RIP Ronnie.

  • where? Why the heck doesn't anybody tell the viewer what track or what city?

  • @telsport Check out the video description for the event location and when it was.

  • that cuda pulled the front wheels man thats sexy

  • god i wish I was around in the old days of yor ...... 4 spd's, big blocks, good old fashioned american Iron ....... non of the plastic and fiberglass used today ....... back when an 11 second street car meant something instead of these 7-8 second turbocharged ... tHINGS .... they run today .... no offence intended to anyone ..... just my opinion ....... I was born in the wrong era....

  • im on the same page you are!!!

  • i just posted a video of kinda a rematch to this, its dean sox and bob reed @ mopars @ the rock, its on my page if u want to check it out

  • Sweet! I just checked it out and commented on it.

  • The Bullet Bob car is a 4 speed. He engages the line lok once he is staged.

  • They are ss/aa cars. Super stock A automatic.

  • My mistake on calling the car on the right a Dodge.

  • These are not original Pro Stock cars. Notice they have automatic transmissions which original Pro Stock cars did not use. Plus Sox and Martin raced Plymonths not Dodges like on the right of the picture. Yes, Ronnie Sox was one of the best ever power shifters with the old manually shifted four speeds. Today's Pro stockers are shifted clutchless after leaving the starting line and are 5 speeds.

  • I believe I mentioned in the description of the video that there were Super Stockers and not Pro Stockers.

  • @51alandee The Sox and Martin car in this vid is a Plymouth A990 Belvidere.

  • ronnie, the fasts' shifter on the planet

  • Nobody could touch Ronnie on the stick....some were close but not quite thereand yes a Class act all the way

  • There was once a man named Robin Whtiehead. Two brothers that couldn't be beat. They also held the National record in their Hemi Challenger. Just a thought!

  • Man, I love MOPAR!

  • Ticket gitters deluxe!! I was soooooo bad in high school, the cops actually came to our house to talk to my dad about my tickets, pathetic. My dad took my keys and I pouted like a 6 yr. old for four mos. I worked in a "Whiz Burger" all summer to earn the $400.00+ My dad sold my '62 Polara "wedger, folks" ......one of the "good" lessons. God, it sucked.

  • hat to ronnie sox i get to hag out with at rockboro.he was a class act he will me missed he's girl is running a web sit.there lot of pics of the old mopars and some video's too....to ronnie sox the fastest man on a 4 speed

  • w3rd! :D

  • Serious ponies to lift a body that is nearly production stock in weight. Yep, Sox and Martin did the job!

  • Dad used to tell me how Sox and Martin owned.. obviously good at the tree. lol

  • Wow, that is one sweet 65 Belvedere! Wish I owned it!

  • its wierd lookin at englishtown for then and now
