She needs to understand that we now live in a digitized global environment, where information is transmitted in real time. Our healthy coexistence is based on mutual respect, and learning & growing from our differences. People like her contribute to the growing intolerance and racially motivated acts of hate crimes worldwide. Why do they hire Filipinos to teach English instead of Koreans?
(2) There are other things that she could have used to satirized other than her chosen socially and culturally incorrect Filipino accents. I understand those who noted that Filipinos focus on the least important matters that can improve their well-being. When Filipinos stand-up in unison to decry such irresponsible characterization of their cultural traits, values and beliefs that form their FILIPINO IDENTITY; this is a testament of a maturing society.
(3) It is wrong for anyone to denigrate that identity, in the same way that Filipinos must respect those of other nations. Filipinos cannot fully grow as a nation if they continue to stand mute and indefensible of other hateful and misinformed attacks on what constitute their national identity. This is a declaration of strength and freedom against being manipulated by other nations. The Philippines had endured centuries of insults from their colonizers. It's time that Filipinos to say ENOUGH.

I remember during my last trip to the Philippines I was yelled at often. I heard shouts like: fuck you! and Kano and some jeepney drivers overcharged me for the trip demanding 500 pesos. I also think Manila was overcrowded and polluted. However I deeply respect the Filipinos. I feel they are talented and if you know them a little they will respect you. I think Filipinos also makes jokes about the white people. I think most Westerners get along with Filipinos and I love Philippines.

And as an American who knows no Tagalog, these are very confusing.
But I like how philipinos often start a post or a comment with one sentience in english, then the rest in Tagalog. :D
