All recruits who are sent to mrp with a only a few days/week from graduating, get to very breifly see parents whos travel plans where already booked. Thats a big maybe though. It's all conditional. The d.i's leave these guys alone while the families are in the squad bay. M.R.P is seriously shitty as hell to be stuck in.

Remember: 3 pull-ups, 35 sit-ups in 2:00, and 13:30 for a 1.5 mile run. Females: 12 sec flexed-arm hang, 35 sit-ups, and 1 mile in 10:30.

Ideally, a Marine should wait until they're either a Corporal or a Sergeant at the very least before considering marriage. On your post though, Marine wives are definitely the most loving, patient women I've come across. There are support groups for wives of deployed Marines out there. I do agree though, that's no life for a married man. You have to constantly uproot your family and move elsewhere as ordered.

@anteracmacash They give you shit for not picking up from receiving like they did. it doesnt mean shit that you were in boot camp longer. it means that they get to graduate on time cause they werent weak and you wont cause you were. injuries are weaknesses in the corps. if you were in mrp they piss and moan how you got "time off" to relax or if from pcp then they bitch about how you barely made it out of there with the bare minimum counting you as their weakest link.

I forget how long they can stay in, If I remember right it's all on them, they get an offer to get out or continue until they meet minimum requirements. I don't think they get discharge papers since they're not Marines, if they did I'm sure it'd fall under admin or med seperation. Why not hire them anyway? They're just weak minded is all.
Once your in, your in, you dont get a choice to leave if ur in the Pork Chop Platoon. If you dont pass initial PT then you go to PCP and its constant PT, once you pass Initial PT you get put into a platoon.. They can keep you for up to a year.

Dude, you aint a Marine. A real Marine would know that this is PCP and MRP platoons. These guys get a shit load of down time because all they do is run and lift weights, that and this video was taken during the easter holiday and when some guys would be getting discharged so the DI training them gave them a little break. The video is only 5 minutes long. I bet ya they got right back to work in 20 minutes.
