Hey wouldn't it be epic if right when a purple pikmin is going to get crushed olimar stops the foot with his hands pushing it back up and makeing it trip the other way saveing the purple pikmin.

I think you can attack the beady long-legs by luring out of the water. I think I killed the one in that cave with purple pikmin once...

as for the raging long-legs, its usually best to kill the jellyfloats before luring out the boss. And when it rages, the pikmin are safe on its body. Once, I fought it, and it got into a perpetual "rage mode", because I was constantly attacking it.
