I agree - as a band, they weren't the best instrumentally and Kurt wasn't the best singer. However, he was a brilliant and innovative songwriter and they had great melody. I miss 90's grunge - Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc.  Music nowadays sucks. I think Nirvana was a great influence to the bands of today. RIP Kurt Cobain.
