a nije cijela hrvatska bila pod italijom al kolko ja znam iz povijesti bio je onaj donji dio, a i pod rimskim carstvom je nekad davno bila pa mozda i to ljudi svrstavaju pod italiju, ko zna sta njih tamo uce u skolama i sta sve ne nadju na netu, jos ce na kraju ispasti da smo godinama pod opsadom novozelandjana i da smo njihova kolonija... al uglavnom dio lijepe nase je bio pod italijom... al ne bas "for so long" :)

@Sayrawrr1 nah,only dalmatia,not the whole of croatia.And dalmatia was taken after croatia began to be ruled by the hungarians.And it was allways rocky(the venetian rule I mean).And they didnt take the whole coast in 1920!Only small parts of it.It was under italy during WW2 because Pavelic sold it(reason why not many people like him)But in the end it was more in croatian rule than in italian.

@umagoboy Actually it wasnt :D. Just couple of islands and small towns. It rulled croatian cost just after Candian war with turks and it lasted for, like, 50-60 years. She said that probably because the food is similar, and she doesnt know that it is mediteranuim food. Not just croat, or italian. Actually, i ate in one libanonian restaurant (Libanon is also on mediteranium) and food is so similar... Lot of good chease, olive oil, lamb, and good wine.

The unification of Italy occured in the year 1861. After WW1, the Empire broke apart, and Croatia entered the first Yugoslavia. After a short time of independence, Yugoslavia reunited after WW2 and lasted to the year 1991, when (after 5 years of brutal war) Croatia finally acquired full independence. No Italy. Sorry.
