Personally I'd carry any pistol/SMG that utilizes .22 LR, as they have a fairly high capacity, are really cheap and easy to find in most hunting or outlet stores like walmart, and although they might not have the greatest punch a well placed shot into a zombie's noggin will take it down. They're relatively quiet compared to larger rounds and in some cases don't require the SS ammo variant to utilize a suppressor. Then again I'd love to carry a 1911 or glock too, lol
alot of people overlook the 'trench knife'... absolute last resort but can definately crush some skulls.. also theres a house demolition tool made by stanley called a 'fat max'.. its got a crowbar end for prying doors, manhole covers etc, a hammer end for bashing, a spiked end for spiking, and if you got some rope you could use it as a ghetto grapling hook... happy hunting!
Nice video. Good stuff. One recommendation. If you are to carry a BUG, it should be at least of the same caliber as your carry. So for that Glock 22 on .40S&W you should have a G23 or G27 as back-up. Same caliber, and you can use the mags of the G22 on the other two if it goes down on you. Same with the Ruger SR9c. It should be used as BUG for the SR9. Or for the new SR40 use the also new SR40c. But both guns should be of same calibers at least. Good hunting!
I like the vid, but all I can say is, I got myself a Tac-vest, that works a lot better than a leather jacket and pockets, And only a shotgun? I would go for at the very least a civie AK, preferably a Sig 556. Though, you did say something about california and it's rules as they applied to you, so those are probably illegal. Oh well, I still think a tac-vest is superior, especially if it has molle. Oh, and I'd take an M9 over a glock, personal choice. Time to subscribe.
you know your stuff. i am assuming that this kit will be your last stand, so i feel it necessary to say; where's the m249? or the m39 EMR, for that matter...
ALL zombie hunters need a sword bro ... a real one .. not one made with shit stainless steel ... Carbon is were its at .. maybe ill make a zombie hunter vid!! Knifes are for chumps we need SWORDS!! katanas claymores basterswords . i do like your prybar axe tho... wouldnt want to get that close!!! When the dead walk the earth this guy will be fine !
@glockhead702 So you know someone that can make you a proper sword that's folded correctly? And you know how to look after it? I'd prefer to look at something like a titanium or high-grade stainless steel blade. Something that won't wear out quite as easily. Also, he won't be that well off. Too many close range weapons and nothing he's got is silenced. And why would you need so many sidearms? IMO, his kit is for sieges and last stands, not survival, evasion or stealth.
can you please move next door to me cuz if it ever happens I want someone like you around. BTW, id probably have a 5th pistol to blow my own brain out, IF ALL ELSE FAILS.
@Jager1967 Really? Can you document that? I know that several SEAL teams experimented with .45ACP over the past couple of years and went right back to 9mm. It's an interesting subject, if you can provide any documentation or links it would be helpful.
@ZombieTactics take a look at the Smith and Wesson MIlitary & Police (M&P) series pistols on their company website. Here is a partial list of law enforcement bodies using it; New Mexico State Police, Iowa State Patrol, New Hampshire State Police and Cities of Atlanta, Milwaukee, Cincinnati and Detroit. Even my hometown cops are trading in their .40S&W Glocks for Springfield Armory XDs
@Jager1967 All of the pistols you mention are available in 9mm, .40 or .45ACP ... and are approved by use by those departments ... individual officers choice of which caliber. The rounds used most by law enforcement nationwide are 9mm and .40 ... by a very wide margin. This is an issue I research regularly ... if you have a statistical source to cite, please do so. Otherwise I have to go with information from standard respected sources. Thanks for the input.
@ZombieTactics agreed. from a combat point of view, the 9mm is far more effective overall. .45 has too much kick when trying for quick, accurate shots, which i think would be the case in a zombie attack.
p.s. you became a captain in my eyes when you pulled out that sr9c. subscribing!
Put a bumper on it, cover a few windows, they can haul a good load, space for your buddies, Emergency exits make great gun ports especially on top. As for getting access to the buses, its all very easy, keys are easy to get too, buses are well maintained. Our bus yard is fully fenced with razor wire on top, 50 or so buses all with 1/2 or more + an on-site 2000gal fuel station and shop. I'll take a school bus over your SWAT Vehicle any day, little bumper up front and not much will stop you.
LOL! You've got a point there. You don't really even need a key though, just open the back and flip the switch to rear run and fire up the engine, jump in the front and drive. No one with a brain would steal one since their pretty obvious but in a zombie attack, it's definitely worth grabbing one. (I was a school bus mechanic for a few years).
Remember the kid who swiped a school bus and evacuated 40 people from the super dome after Katrina? That's how he did it.
While the SWAT Vehicle is nice and sure, you may know where to grab one if you need too but what about the rest of the survivors? What do they pick up as an armored vehicle or something that needs little mods to be an awesome zombie killing vehicle. The answer is simple, School Buses. There is about 500,000 buses that operate daily. Any community with a school will have several. They commonly have 60-90 gal tanks with 1/2 tank min at all times, 6-10 MPG, armored and easily armored
You were kidding about the vehicle, right? You don't own that, right? I'm jealous enough of the autoloading shotgun for cripes sake. I can't decide on the khukri machete or the BIG latin machete from Cold Steel. Starting to lean towards the magnum khukri now that I've seen the point on that thing. I dunno, jury's still out. Nice freakin hatchet!
Nice kit. All I'll need is my 10/22 and a couple bricks of Winchester Super X. Ambush the guy with all the tactical gear. RAAAAHH!!! three cracks later I have a brand new AR.
Is that Zombie Hunting Jacket made by Members Only? You say the jacket has done you well over the years. Perhaps it might be time to upgrade to something made this decade?
@alxrain It certainly has an "80s" feel to it, huh? I bought that jacket back when I still had hair, which was spiked and dyed sortof a red/gold/purple color, lol.
i have the 10/22 semi auto,(can turn into full auto if i make the heart shaped gauge into a circle but i only would do that if a zombie apoclypse actually happened) and its a great weapon, only downside is its useless without competition ammo or heavy lead
I also have the same shotgun scabbard, though I've got a different shotgun. A Maverick 88 Security with the Pachmayr "Vindicator" pistol grip installed rides in my scabbard!
Did you ever consider getting a compact/ subcompact Glock? I think it would be great to have a backup gun where you can use your regular normal cap. mags from your full size Glock: More firepower for the backup, less space needed for b.u. mags, more space for normal mags. win win.
Do you or your kids play Left 4 Dead (one or two) on the Xbox? I would imagine it being the official game of Zombie Tactics. Also, any reason in choosing the scabbard over sling?
first of all you're taking way to much weapons with you 4 handguns? why would you need 4 handguns? 1 handgun will be just fine (remember you are tying to get away from the zombies and too a safer location.) Why would you need a axe AND a manchette? (i would choose the manchette, cause of its longer reach) That big truck will alarm every zombie thats nearby that's dinner is served, choose a mountainbike instead, it's silent and easy to repair
i'm going to kill zombies by biting them first. this turns them into humans again, little known fact and never tried in movies because those pussies are too busy running. my jaw never runs out of ammo.
pistol? check, shotgun? check, extra mags and shots? check, chopping device? check, armored car? armored car! umm.. Jeep XJ that can be converted over using diamond plate to replace windows? check.. lol great vid.
I have that kukri AND the battle axe! FOR. THE. WIN. No guns yet D:
I'm planning on getting a remington 870 witness protection style shotgun, a glock 23, and a german mace. Glock on my leg holster (I have a used police style holster for my airsoft), my shotgun in my trenchcoat (I have an airsoft version of the gun, so I got a scabbard that attatches to my trenchcoat for filmaking), my kukri on my back, my axe on the leg opposite my glock, and my hydration pack +backback with filled many tools.
These vids are making halloween as enjoyable as it was when I was a kid. Haha.
My zombie killing kit consists of a full sized wood axe, a CRKT M16 & M21, a Cold Steel Ti-Lite, a baseball bat, and some good old Krav Maga knowledge for zombie hand-to-hand killing. This is Canada, so no guns. :(
thats a bad ass jacket. screw the lcp. i like the keltec 3at better. lcp are rip offs. now i give credit for the lcr. polymer revolvers. yes. i like that combat axe. good tool. gotta love the kukri. perfect chopper. nice touch adding the vehicle. sweet.
