  • i never been sober

  • What a fierce voice. And visualize the image of the woman behind that voice! Mind you, this was a generation ago. Could be that Slick did more for women’s lib than a shelfload of well-intentioned gender studies nowadays.

  • She was gorgeous and fierce when she was young but christ this is shit

  • One of the best base players around played on this album with Grace ....Phil Stoltie aka Phil Stone from the local CT group EYES...anyone see or here of him since?

  • Awesome and underrated album in my opinion

  • GOOD GOD! I forgot about this one! LOL.....Love it! You tell'em Grace! The pictures are of her in front of the old Winterland Arena when they were tearing it down. It's perfect that she got to be the one riding the wrecking ball! Grace is a California classic :)

  • @itsJoanfuckingJett

cant disagree with you joan is a fucking goddess !!!

  • @itsJoanfuckingJett

yep no Grace no others to follow she paved the way for sure not like those winey skinny bitches of today

  • This is prime material to rip off and claim as your own if you are in a band.

  • This was one of the best albums of 1981. So very overlooked.

  • Never realized so clearly the magick in her eyes, until this video!

    Good one!

  • SanFrancisco sound!!!! i think this song means no Manhattaniation of Tenderloin.

  • i adore her to!!! greetings from germany.... love to see her everytime

  • l adore her - she's great!!!!!

  • I'd grab grace and keith, give 'em a bunch a crystal and some vitamn b-12, and have 'em do a remake

  • AC/DC 'esque

  • she was great... that starship crap really ruined her in the 80s!!

  • everyone is madly in love with this women.......

  • Yes and No More Heroes

  • I actually have found a copy of Manhole and ordered it from HMV and am waiting for it to arrive. All of Grace's solo recordings are great, except IMHO Software but whatever. If they were aailable I would order them all, it's a shame really that they're so hard to find.

  • Ledzeprebecca - try Ebay (or failing that DISCOGS).... You will be able to get all Grace's stuff there, gauranteed. :-)

  • Grace Slick paved the way for Holly Knight, Ann & Nancy WIlson, Pat Benatar Debbie Harry

  • I'd tap that, even today I'd tap that. I frick'n love Grace Slick

  • Oh wait I just seen a recent picture of her um......... do they have time machines yet?

  • Jim Morrison had a one-night-stand with that chick

  • he sure did

  • Thanks for sharing great music!

  • Grace Slick is amazing. Her voice is great and she was beautiful when she was young. One of the best female band singers I have listened too.

  • @xojbabyxo

    I think she's still beautiful!

  • she should have jammed with spinal tap for sure!

  • this rocks in a spinal tap kind of way!!

  • Ive always have been a Grace Slick fan. Yes she was Hot. I pulled up a recent interview here on You Tube and was so shocked to her. She is in her 70s and looks like a liitle old grandmother.Wow time flies by so fast. You have got to pull up that interview. She might be a white hair old lady now but she is just as cool as ever.

  • were can i download the album?

  • the music here is similar to aerosmith's "the train kept a rollin" at points in the song. agree?

  • completly agree.

    thats a fuckin hot pic

  • Any LIVE vids of this by Grace?

Bought the Album back in college in '81,...she made it into 'The 80's College Radio' market for sure 26 years ago!

"Cops out of uniform, still look Stupid at the Wreaking Ball!"

  • I had thought it was Peter Wolf (J Geils) for all these years. Oh well. Thanx 4 the update.

  • I only figured that out today LOL

  • Exelent, why can't it be bought on cd, shitty record labels alway holding back the good old stuff, cause it's only the money they think about

  • U R right on. This album, plus Grace Slick's 1984 "SOFTWARE" lp NEED to be released.

  • Dont know the software lp is it the same style as Wrecking ball ?

  • SOFTWARE came out in 1984 and was produced by J. Geils. It had a modern feel for '84 .. ya know, all synth'd up. Grace thought it was aweful, but it still sounds good. She wrote some good lyrics. Titles like "All the machines", "Fox Face" & "Thru the window" r excellent. I hav the cassette only.

  • ok thanks, let's hope it comes out on cd too

  • Software was produced by a guy named Peter Wolf who is not the Peter Wolf from the J. Geils Band

  • Hi

I have bought the software cd,but saw the cover and was thinking that i must listen to some mp3 before i open it, and i don't like the 80 style of this cd so if you are interested in buying it let me know (it was not cheap to buy)

  • I agree, Fox Face is one of my faves.

  • When she released Welcome to the Wrecking Ball album it was considered Heavy Metal. It's one of her best albums.

Wrecking Ball is an awesome song.

Grace Slick is a Rock Goddess

  • grace slick was so pretty

  • Excellent.

  • 60s? this song came out in the 80s.

  • Love this song! It's so powerful!

  • look in her eyes then you know why ;)

  • why didnt I born at 60's???? :(

  • if u were, you'd be like... 48 now, you really wanna be that old? lol but rockstars dont age ;)

  • DONT CARE

  • plus you wouldn't be any older than 10 by the time the 60s were over

  • One of the most powerful tune ever written by an ex-hippie

  • 1:34 pic ''OMG''!!!!

  • Did she used to have a habit of stripping off on stage?

I remember seeing an old concert photo of her where she looks pretty darn nude.

Still, I guess it was the 60s.

  • Not exactly stripping per se. She didn't want to get her shirt wet (it was raining on stage) so she took it off and sung topless. then one guy asked her to take ogg her chastity belt, and she replied (she wasn't wearing underwear), "What chastity belt', and she lifted up her skirt.

  • How could she stoop to Software after this???

Fantastic backing band, was it the Hot Babies band or something? El Diablo and Face to the Wind are the best tracks (imho).

  • She is awesome! I am currently reading her autobiography called "Somebody To Love: A Rock N Roll Memoir". She is hilarious and smart and just plain intriguing. My curiosity about her was peaked when that chic on American Idol sang Somebody To Love and got dissed and rejected...So I'm now in Grace Slick 101 Mode and am enjoying learning about her.

  • This is so cool! Grace Slick rocks!

  • I have never heard this song before. It is very good.

  • "U wanna get greeted,well"Welcome to the Wrecking Ball",Couldn't have said it better myself!!Thanks Grace!--And to U Number6

  • GRACE SLICK RULES!!!

  • Great thump! And Grace (who is gorgeous) roars like a lion!

  • Tyko - have you portained them?

  • Pertained what to what? Grace's beauty and singing voice? : P

  • Tyko - i didn't say that, I was asking about their portention. Have you heard them?

  • Portention isn't a word, much less something I can hear?

  • Tyko - Never mind. What do ken about this?

  • I'd have to say the best is at 1:39.Love her music though, especially "Darkly Smiling" and "Grimly forming"

  • She is so cute at 2:31

  • Grace kicks butt.

  • Bitchin, whatever she does!

  • quant'è bbona!!
