LEGO 8674 FERRARI F1 RACER 1:8

I am deciding between the 1:10 and 1:8 scale version for my boyfriend. As there is a pretty hefty price difference between them ($240 vs $400 since they are out of production), would the 1:10 still be cool? :) I am leaning toward the 1:8 as I want to get him the best. But, if he actually wanted the 1:10 so he could put it on his desk at work (his door locks), then I don't want to get the wrong one. I'm doing recon via his friends to figure out who had the model he liked and what ratio it was.

Hallo I have both of them and the 1:8 is amazing and much more impresive BUT its Huge and need lot of space 1:10 also very very beautiful i had it first but then bought the 1:8 and wow

i have the 1:9 version of the ferrari. i like it better even though its a tiny bit smaller. i think it looks amazing and its my favorite lego set of all time.

I read on Brickipedia that Technic won't stop after 2010. Maybe Lego decided to keep this series and to stop the BIONICLE instead of Technic.

Hi! I like this set... the biggest challange out of legos is building Eiffel. I tried to make some changes because it was wobbly and it couldn't stand nicely. Did you have a problem with the eiffel set? would you recommend Taj mahal and Grand Carousel? I want to get the Star wars one. Btw Which set is the hardest?

The only problem (it's Lego's fault not yours LoL) is that F1 cars use turbocharged V-6's, not V-10s...still badASS

i have the ferrari f1 before this version. the only down side with this one is that it doesnt have any exaust tips and none of the parts on the engine are clear on this version. other than that this one is not as basically square as the version before this. i think it would be harder to build this one tho. :)
