the tap all creatures card would not of worked because you need to play it before the attack phase. his creatures were already tapped and attacking when he played the card.
Sooo many mistakes its not even funny. I hope noobs arent watching trying to learn from these videos. I really appreciate watching videos of magic games but no one should try to use these as learning videos. Thanks for the vids though
make more videos like this that show what the card does for me and other on/off magic players. i'm sure lots of us don't memorize all the card and effects
@asuronkun95 There were lands but they were non basic. This means that they are not the typical basic lands such as Swamp or a Mountain. These non basic lands often have special abilties attached to them. For instance at 0:08 he played an Ancient Ziggurat which is a land but is non basic.
If the second ability resolves before the first on Tidehallow Skuller, then the player is probably never getting the card that the first ability rips. the same is true for O-ring
Tidehollow's first triggered ability if the first triggered ability resolves, ALL PART OF THIS ABILITY RESOLVES AND NOT JUST PART OF IT!!!
Player on left just revealed his hand. So far so good but the abiliy hasn't finished resolving. If you have any questions just read the first ability.
@SwordSkill2 Ugh oh my god, the biggest thing was the tidehollow, the rest was just bad commentary. Yeah there were some mistakes, but let it go. This wasn't a tournament that required a lvl. 2 judge. This was a casual game between two friends. If one player understands the other its fine.
ILLEGAL MOVES PART 1: 1) Player on left didn't responded with Bitterblossom, he just played it when it was his turn. 2)Responding to Tidehollow doesn't kill it. It hasn't even touched the board. If you responded to it's first triggered ability then the thing are something like that on the stack: //Stack TOP Agony Warp Tidehollow's 1rst trigger BOTTOM Agony Warp resolves killing the Tide making it trigger it's second trigger (Leaves play.) After second trigger resolves, time for first.
@SwordSkill2 well this isnt a sanctioned match, you can play however you wanna play for fun, just the other day, me and my friend played without using any mana
@bigfabe12 What's your point? Me and my friends usually play using nonland cards as lands just like Duel Master.. What I mean is that not to giving misinformation about the game in public cause many ppl will learn it the wrong way and say for example that PW abilities cannot be responded and stuff like that.
@SwordSkill2 dude, stfu, your commenting on a 10 month old comment. I already told you, they can play however they want, aint no refs, aint no rules, aint no judges, this aint no fuckin DCI.
@bigfabe12 Guys like you who don't know the rules ruin the game. I got sick of seeing noobs like you in MWS who say something like "I attacked you can't tap my creature"!!!
@niffer452 Well while your point is valid, if the opponent wants to tap the creatures he may do so by saying something like "And at the beginning of combat phase" or "before you attack (Meaning that he is doing it at the beginning of combat phase)" but he can't do it if he say something like "Response to attack" cause declaring attackers is a turn based action which occurs at the start of declare attackers step and thus it doesn't use the stack.
@SwordSkill2 You can't say "before you attack". You should actually do it before he attacks. They aren't attacking because they are tapped. They are attacking and as a result they become tapped. Say they declare Serra Angel as an attacker. In response, you decide to tap it with Gideon's Lawkeeper. Serra Angel is still attacking regardless.
Oh yes you can, there isn't any time restriction in Magic so if your opponent play to fast and is like "I attacked you can't tap!" that's is totally wrong, the he can go back "in time" to settle things up.
And as I said you can't respond to attacking man cause it is a turn based action. Turn based actions don't use the stack. You can only respond to things on stack.
There is no such thing as time restriction in Magic so tapping fast the creatures to attack doesn't prevent the opp from answering.
@SwordSkill2 506.4b Tapping or untapping a creature that’s already been declared as an attacker or blocker
doesn’t remove it from combat and doesn’t prevent its combat damage.
This is directly from the rule book. You can't say "before you attack" after they have already declared attackers. This would give you an unfair advantage because you would already know which creatures are attacking. Dems da rules.
@niffer452 Well I know but I'm not talking about game rules, but for DCI rules, While you have a solid point when saying that once attackers have been declared there is no way to "undeclare" them unless removed from combat somehow, what happens if the opponent plays way to fast and immediately tap his creature before you get a chance to do anything?
Guys, you need to learn rules before posting videos with matches contain illegal moves. As a DCI Judge LVL 2 I suggest you erase this match and do a mirror match (WITH LEGAL MOVES.) And then repost it. I'll explain all the illegal moves in some parts at some comments.
It had entered the battlefield. In response to the CIPT trigger he cast Agony Warp. However, there was a misplay. The controller of Sculler still would have gotten to exile a card, and the owner of that card wouldn't get it back. Play error, not illegal play.
Hey im pretty sure that when doran attacked for double strike the first time he does seven for the first attack and then exalted stacks he does 9 so he does 16 total but correct if im wrong. i always thought double strike was like having to attack phases but the othe guy had 1 block phase. because if the creature untapped after the first attack then exalted would stack so maybe that just for finest hour.
double strike isn't the same as two combat phases.
You know how first strike damage works right? Well with double strike you get first strike damage then you also get normal damage and a blocked creature,no matter when it was blocked cannot do any of its combat damage from its attack to a player unless it has trample or a similar ability.
Mcr4z is correct. anyone who's played magic online or reads online forums about the skuller would know that the stack will work that way if u try to kill the skuller upon its arrival. no big deal though. fae deck was boned either way
I wonder why there idiots put -3 to your comment. You even botherer explain them what's the legal moves and still idiot ppl that don't know rules (NOOBS.) Do not appreciate that.
the fae player should have died much sooner. When Doran and Rafiq attacked together Doran was blocked by a token. This should have brought the fae player down from 5 to 2 life. On upkeep to 1 life.
This 1 mistake gave the fae player an extra turn longer than they should have gotten.
I love the videos, but make sure you guys catch everything. I know you guys already learned about the sculler thing, but also make sure you show brandon takes pain for a few of the things he played. Not bad though.
Do you realise that killing the sculler in response to his ability is bad. His second ability would then trigger (return the removed card to hand) before the first ability. so when the sculler hits the yard the effect to remove a card from your hand is still there, but now it's premanently gone.
@MagicForTheWin Yeah, the same problem happens with Journey to Nowhere, Oblivion Ring, and Leonin Relic-Warder. You don't want to kill them before their exile ability resolves, or else you trigger the return ability before there's anything to get back. The stack is funky tlike that.
what is a dark bant deck based upon?

a card with 0 toughness still does not leave play until it enters it.
TimEddyHughes 2 years ago
@TimEddyHughes But the abilities go on the stack in reverse order. Tide ability resolves when it is already dead, which is entirely possible.
DJDorianGray 1 year ago
P.S A card cannot leave play before it enters it.
TimEddyHughes 2 years ago
What happens:
Tide guy comes in.
He plays agony warp
As the tide guy entered play, he shows hand, exiles a card.
Tide guy dies as he is 2/-1.
Card returns to hand as tide leaves play.
TimEddyHughes 2 years ago
Correct order:
1. Tide comes into play, his ability goes on the stack.
2. Opponent puts agony warp on the stack
3. Agony warp resolves, tide dies
4. Tide ability resolves, the card is exiled and will never go back since tide is already dead.

Please erase this match so you won't give any more missrulling information.

This video contains a game play fault. CIP effect from Sculler does not dissapear just because he got killed.
This is what would have happend.
Sculler's cip ability triggers, Chris answears with Agony Warp killing the sculler, Sculler leaving play triggers his second most ability.
The stack.
Sculler leave play ability
Agony Warp
Sculler cip ability.
This would mean that he still can remove a card for the rest of the game, this is why Sculler and Master Transmuter is a gr8 combo.
