  • ahh you can do 5 ball half shower

  • After this tutorial I wanted to try it, but then I realized I only have three juggling balls xD

  • i just started juggling 4 balls when i try to juggle syncronized i always throw 1 higher than the other any tips on how to prevent that?

  • @Reaperamtgard Im in exactly the same boat, jus practice lik hell (weaker hand esp). learn siteswap, then learn 423 441 4440 and practice the flash a lot :) those 3ball patterns are really helping my 4ball :)

  • wow never heard the word thrice lol

  • Nice Juggling! And nice T-shirt

    (i got the same) xD

  • the three ball HS is asynch and the 4 ball synch? O.o

  • no, this is the sync version (which is a bit easier), but the regular half shower is async.

  • Thanks a lot for the advice, my 4 ball juggling is already pretty good for the simultaneous and alternate patterns but I didn't realize you needed the simultaneous pattern to do the half shower :) so thanks dude!!

  • Here is an advice for you, JS: if you can't do the 7 ball cascade yet, I'd recommend the 5 ball half shower in both directions. It will ease you the progress because you won't feel much of a difference in your weaker hand from your stronger hand.

  • these instructional videos are really helpful. nice contribution to the world -- and you started at 15! Best wishes and thanks.

  • i need to ask you juggling stein. how much do you training every day or week?

  • Comment removed

  • 4 ball half shower really shouldn't be synchronous, I think it would be much easier to transition from a 4 ball async fountain into halfshower. Learn it both sides too.

  • People that don't juggle, just don't have the balls.

  • haha that's class mate i'm so putting that on my channel but don't worry i won't take credit for it i'll put ur name up for it.

  • essentially, half showers are making a cascade pattern with one hand making normal throws to the inside and the other hand making throws to the outside like in the reverse cascade. not too tough to get those patterns down

  • No, ofcourse. Half showers are some of the first tricks you should learn when starting a new number of balls.

  • not necessarily. In most cases you are correct but a lot of people who do 4 and 5 club half showers do the with inside throws. And I have never seen anyone do outside throws with 6 club halfshower. And I have learned 6 ball half shower with inside and outside throws. As long as the siteswap stays the same you can juggle a halfshower in a bunch of different patterns.

  • how do you do the synchronized crosses??

  • this might help

  • Very good tutorial

  • how long did it take you to learn it?

  • does this trick work unsyncronized?

  • yeah

  • Can you put a small vid of it unsynchronized?

  • how long did it take you to learn it?

  • o it looks like german but does norway hav its own language

  • do u speak german 2?

  • no..

  • u make good vids, this ones no exception, but the music is kind of creepy.

  • dude, it's jackson 5! awesome!

  • I can do a sync HS, but how do you do an async 4 ball HS? I always have trouble with async 4 ball patterns, even though I find the async fountain easier.

  • one way is to juggle the siteswap "53" with the "5" as an outside throw. That implies that the 5 gotta be much higher than the 3, so most people juggle it synch.

  • just started to juggle with three balls. man, i hope i stick it long enough to be as good as that

  • Hi, nice tut.

But I think maybe the async 53 HS is easier in the beginning. Maybe you could to a tut for that one...

  • nice tutorial, man! I'm going to go through the steps and try to learn this one...

  • good man yourslelf!!!!! Keep up the mad stuff! Tis looking cool!

  • 1 - great tutorials

    2 - great music

    3 - here comes the sub :)

  • where can I bye ur jugglingballs?

  • Awesome, really like your videos, please keep up the good work.

  • A great shit

  • Hvilken program bruker du når du lager videoer?

  • Great Tutorial, really helps in slow mo thx a lot

  • You're very welcome!

    And thanks for subscribing!

  • what are u juggling wit in this vid, they look cool. please reply??

  • balls...

  • stage balls????

  • No, bean bags...

  • is it possible to do the HS async?

  • yeah.

  • cool!

  • Very good tutorial! I like the async version better, sync half-showers feel awkward to me.

  • nice tutorial!

hey... would you be nice and check out my the trooper cover;)

  • If you quit juggling some time ago, which you did not cause you made this, then why did you not make a chalenge video?

  • Because this isn't new, or enough to beat you. I haven't forgot all my old tricks, and I still enjoy making videos. I just don't practise new stuff anymore!

  • you should practice more!

  • It's not fun anymore...

  • This is a tutorial!

I don't have to do something new in a freakin tutorial!

  • :D laugh out loud

  • this is your best tutorial

(sad that I can do half shower )

  • Hey Stein, just got back from vacation.

Been working on my juggling a lot, can juggle clubs and balls, can do Tennis, 2up-1up, and the half shower. I can juggle off the wall. I can do double spins with the clubs, and 2up-1up with clubs. I can juggle 4balls in the synchronous pattern. Not asynchronous, but I am getting a lot better. Thanks for your videos and all of your tips.

By the way, I want the red shirt with the cow on it.

    Thanks,

    Fisher

  • It's a bull!

  • Oh lol, I still want it ^^

  • Been working on this lately and can see some things to try a little differently now. Thanks.

  • oh great more tricks for me to catch up to

  • I watched this as a break halfway through typing the longest ever message sent over the youtube messages service ;) great choice of music !!

  • Another great tutorial, thanks :)

  • I think this tutorial could be described as: The deconstruction of the easiest trick in the book. Hope it helps someone.

I learned 4 ball half shower this way, I just the other day realized that I should probably learn the asynch 53 for 5 ball shower, I know (6x,4x) is synch but the throws are similar.

  • Ok? So you're saying that one should be able to juggle 5 balls before learning this trick?

  • Oh of course not :P This was my first four ball trick after the synch and asynch.

I just spoke about how people should learn the both showers since the 53 is is especially useful for 5 ball half-shower. I had some difficulty with making high throws with one hand and low throws with the other.

  • Hmm. I think an easier way to learn this is to learn the "rainbow cross" thingy with 3 balls. :p Google 'wildcat jugglers' and find the tutorial there. After that it should be a piece of cake.

  • Not necessarily, in the rainbow cross, the balls are crossing at equal heights. In this trick, the main problem is throwing the balls at the same time in different heights.

  • You can do the rainbow cross that way, but at least the way I learned it they aren't. :p They're crossing as they're doing in the 4 ball half shower. One on top of the other. ;p And that is exactly why it is a hell of a lot easier learning this after learning to do the rainbow cross (at unequal heights).

  • That doesn't make any sense! A rainbow is ONE arc over the sky... at ONE height, and when juggling, you sort of make a rainbow with the juggling balls! hence the name..

If you throw them at different heights, it would be a 3 ball synch half shower.

And yeah, THAT would be a useful exersise to do. But it's not a rainbow cross!

  • Well, at least that's the way I learned to call that trick. I'd post some urls, but youtube doesn't allow that. You can google 'wildcat jugglers' and find a video tutorial of that trick... at least it's called the rainbow cross there. :p But anyway, that trick (whatever it's called) is a good trick to practise this one.

  • nice ;)

  • GREAT 14 second intro! REally. Clever, man! That grabs attention. I'm totally going to steal your idea. Well explained tut, too.

  • Thanks! What's the time over there now? Who's up at 6:41 am? on a sunday!

  • Ha! I am usually up by 6:30 at the latest most days. (I have a young son, so I haven't slept late in years.)

  • Wow... that.. must really suck. It's 1:46pm here, and I just got up!

  • But hey, i like this tut, many good practice methods, but it's not the real 4b HS ;) Let me post a vid-response.. :D

  • It obviously can be done both ways... I taught the synch version...

  • Lol, you know that 4b ½shower is asynch, right ? :D

  • Nice tutorial, been trying to learn this trick. Thanks!

  • Loved the beginning titles great tutorial and an awesome song choice, 5 stars. just what i needed

  • Those white balls you use in this tutorial and the others look super light. Are they special types? My ones are normal juggling types but are a bit heavy.

  • Well, they are nothing but normal bean bags. They weight like 110grams. So not super light. Although I can se how you think that... they look cool! ;)

  • very good stein! Good explication

    of this 4 ball trick

  • good video

    thank you!

  • thaks this helped

  • Yay :D Great Tutorial

  • whoo yay ive been working on this :P

  • Good tutorial but i can do it allready.

  • -.- i can only do about 25 catches with 4 balls, however i like the trick. I gotta practise more XD

  • Nice tutorial!! Good to see some new stuff from you =)

  • Good tutorial. I personally find the async 4b half shower a lot easier than the sync version.

  • first comment wooohhhhoooO!!!

  • Congratulations!

  • i feel special. haha

  • You should... this video will get millions of views!

  • yea i got into juggling a few weeks ago. only one problem... i cant find the balls anywhere. I use baseballs now but they hurt reallly bad
