Great videos, thank you. The dragons at the start and the one at 0:45... They weren't there when I visited this area. Strange. I do recall there being a month back when I started this game when the level (or whole world, can't recall) that was pure white or black. Perhaps explains their absence?
My friend faced those dragons but the next day I went in and there were none o.o. I was sure the white tendancy was for a whole week or something. Never saw those dragons until the super long bridge thing.

If you run onto the walkway, right as the dragon starts to BEGIN breathing fire, if you sprint back to where it and the blue dragon rest, you can quickly grab the loot the Red Dragon (the one breathing fire) was guarding. This includes the Purple Flame Shield, which is a fantastic shield that guards well against flame, along with some other items, grass, and souls. DO NOT TAKE THE BLUE DRAGON'S STUFF, HIS TAIL WILL KILL YOU. That and you may run out of time before the red dragon returns.
If you go past the first boss and attract the dragon to the area between the first boss and the tower knight, and then return to the area at the start, are the dragons till there? And if not, if I run out to grab the items, will they fly back? Please answer, I don't want to risk all my souls!

weird. I noticed that the dragon returns to the bridge in your game after you pull the main gates lever. In my game once I pull the main gates lever he does return to the bridge allowing me to pick up anything and everything. I am playing the US version... are you?
for the phalanx boss, use a halberd and turpentine. two hand the halberd, apply the tine, then run up to it and use thw heavy attack, which is a 360 spin, youll slaughter it and the smaller ones around it.
If you just got the game and are finding it really hard try playing as a royal (royalty). This character is VERY cheap allowing you to use ranged magic attacks that kill almost every normal enemy you come across early in the game with 1 to 2 hits from afar. I hear playing as a female is better... not sure why. You also start with the fragment ring I think its called which will allow your magic to regenerate slowly over time. The second boss is defeated EASILY using this character.
@LifeAmongTheDeadBand The female is kinda nice, in my opinion at least, largely because of the silver bracelets. A free boost to souls gained (even if small) that stacks with the Ring of Avarice and Soul Thirst is pretty nifty.
A trick for new players, when throwing Firebombs be sure to use lock-on to pick targets that are above and behind the front line during the boss fight. That way you can hit 6-12 targets with a single Firebomb.
Love your lets play, i think your commentary is by far one of best and most comical on youtube. I subscribed!
