but Hamelin once said that he doesn't play virtuosic music just for the virtuosity itself, that he found music only written for that boring. and i wonder if this piece is such a case. it's incredibly virtuosic, but it doesn't seem very deep and worth the work, in my opinion.
Every time I hear and watch Hamelin play he drives me deeper into studying music endlessly.

@Sorcerer88 I think you are correct for some sections. So maybe the other, more meaningful parts offset the plain-virtuosity parts? Just a thought...

His technique is so incredible he makes this look SO easy when it is not - WOW!
