I went there in winter. It wasn't that cold, the sun warmed things up. But I sure wouldn't want to be stuck there overnight in winter. The drive was a pain with a regular sedan, but if you take it easy you will make it. A magical place where you feel like you're Indiana Jones when there's no other people around!
Nice Indian music. I have been there, beautiful trip. Slept on the edge of the canyon in my tent. It was May 2009. Must come back again, irresistible magnetism of the place. Saw few deers.
If you go to Horseshoe Canyon, I recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle because of the drifting sand dunes - sleep overnight on the rim of the canyon - watch the sun come up - hike the canyon early in the morning and bring plenty of water. The beauty of the desert, canyon, and rock art is truly awesome!
great vid thank you

Very nice video. I'm more familiar with the Needles but I now have to go and see the Great Gallery. Again, nicely done.
