Crittercams, a lot of the modells, realease themself from the animal, the scientist don't have to catch the animal twize in many cases. And fyi, animals are what we call adopteble (hope I translate everything right here anyhow) specilly predatory specied adopt to new circumstances very rapidly, and there is no way in hell for this animal to get stuck anywhere with that crittercam... O__o

As for collars...you don't think the animal understands it is there? Never seen a dog or cat?

Yeah, orcas do hunt leopard seals. In fact, they're their only predator, since the polar bear lives in the Arctic.

They never meet. Polar bears live only in the Arctic. Leopard seals live only in the Antarctic.

On land, the bear has the advantage over the seal, whereas in the water, the bear would probably be at a disadvantage in the seal's element. It depends on the situation.

They're both ambush predators, they just ambush their prey from opposite sides of the sea-land equation. Bears grab their prey from land when they come up for air, and seals grab their prey when they jump in the water for food. I suppose, if they somehow met and decided to eat each other, the advantage would go towards the one who surprised the other.
