Why do conservatives have to compare universal healthcare which would cut costs we already spend on healthcare to paying for TVs, phones and cars. They not the same thing. Universal healthcare in other countries is not even free all the time either. Patients usually pay for visits and medicine... but everyone can afford the costs to visit the doctor. Its other costs like surgery and treatment that is often free to the patient.

There is no such thing as " free " health care or anything else. At the end of the day , the only argument is how much the leaches and the moochers are going to get to steal from the productive people who pay for their own health care. If someone else has to provide something to you than IT'S NOT A RIGHT! Rights are things you already have ( free speech , assembly , religion, etc..) Rights are not forcing other people to provide money or services to you by federal law!

Why are Tea Baggers so backwards? Free health care is an amazing scheme and yet these people oppose free treatment? UK has free health care and it works perfectly fine. We pay more tax than Americans and not to mention council tax, parking resident permit, congestion charge and the list goes on. But we move on and get on with our lives. As far as I'm concerned, there shouldn't be any argument. I should not have to pay (via taxes) for the health care of leeches too darn lazy to work & pay their own insurance.

It's my money, not yours (liberals) or theirs. My pockets are not bottomless. I can't afford to keep paying more and more. At this rate, I'll soon be in the poorhouse. It has to stop. Since Obama's health care scheme will cost billions, that's a darn good place to start.

No, I'm saying what was said. I can't afford to keep paying for everyone else. Obama's scheme isn't going to hurt the rich. They have deductions and so on to ensure they won't pay a dime more. Instead, the brunt of this will fall on the working middle class, already suffering from job exports, declining economy, and so on. Again, my pockets aren't bottomless. I'm approaching 60. This will delay my retirement. My family will also have to do without.

Your insurance company pays for lots of other people's treatment which you have funded. The difference is that everyone can access this not just the lucky people who can pay it. I had to look up deductible but in England we call this an excess, no one pays it here. They have it sewn up pretty well, charge you to be covered then charge you again to claim to discourage a claim

We are for the constitution, but we also believe in limited government. Letting government step back and allow the professionals, the people who specialize in their jobs and industries, to run their businesses. Government healthcare scares me because if you take a look at their track record running former privatized industries, its horrible. Amtrak? USPS? Both are in the dumps.
