@urizen1 I didn't get it at first when an old roommate showwed it to me, but years later I just needed to find a copy of this game. I bought the Qubed compilation. Tetsuya Mizuguchi at his finest. Sometimes old 90s sci-fi does remind me of it, though. Hackers included. I think whatever cheezyness was intentional, but it's a really fun experience. Realy replayeble, too.

It's the ability to manipulate the music in a SHOOTER no less. It's definitely one of those games that a video cannot do justice. Just imagine playing this on a giant flat screen with good speakers and you'll probably change your mind. It might be slower than what you're used to but this guy is making it look easy. This is a HARD game to play.

Like Space Harrier in wire frame. Reminds me of LSD.... When you clock this level you open up "Beyond Mode". Never managed to get 100% kills though as my old reflexes arent what they used to be damn it haha!!!

the last level ist some audiovisual trip at its best..the cutscenes,showing the evolution,the boss fight where the parts of eden and the background videos...its so beautiful,rez is the only game that can show how a lsd trip is-everyone who took psychedelic drugs get a smile when he plays rez,especially the last level-bring the hd version for pc!

I have played /beated everything on REZ 100%. It is incredibly hard thing to do, most likely hardest thing i`ve ever done on any game. It toke perhaps 100 hours of total playtime by me as those "support items" are dead hard to get 100%. Answer to your question is that you will learn so called "real truth" and get better ending plus more opinions and secrets opened when you fully complete the whole game.

No, it's a music based rail shooter with audio based off an underground trance group and visually based on a russian painter's work.

You don't have to really do anything complicated, just shoot stuff down. But plot wise, you're a hacker trying to reboot a computer in charge of civilisation or something.

I just realized that they sampled California Soul in this stage. You can hear the violins in the background around 2:18 onward for about a minute. It's an awesome song by Marlena Shaw, and they're currently using it in the Dockers commercials. You might recognize it!

All Rez HD is a better grpahic better sounding version of rex with the same gameplay. Only reason why they released it on the Live Arcade, and not a disc version. Still a great game.

ive been looking for it too, its by adam f and its called fear or mindkilller, theres a few versions on hear but non are as good as this one, but what i do know is it comes out in HD for 360 in the 1st Q of 2008, on available for dowload via xbox live. maybe, just maybe, they'll re release the tracks if it creates enough attention!

samikaze is right - the mix of "Fear" off the soundtrack is will make you happy for about 10 seconds. If you're after the mix of the song most similar to the kick-ass version you hear everytime you play, you want "Fear (Don's Magical Adventure Edit)" Its over 9 minutes long!

yea the ps2 version was discontinued eons ago, so now uve only got 2 options. 1: Download REZ HD on Xbox live or wat i did, 2: torrent the Dreamcast ISO file for Rez and torrent the right Dreamcast emulator. Itll lag a bit and the resolution wont be perfect bt ull still have the awesome gameplay factor
