uhh, my AWD TBSS weighs in at 4680lbs. Simply put, the SRT8's got more balls, while the 5spd tranny doesn't hurt either. I bought the TBSS because I like to be able to pass whenever I want while hauling my family through the mountains... It IS an SUV, not a sports car...
yeah you might want to call it a sports truck considering the big ass ls2 jammed in there. you might of forgot about that. this is a racing truck and in the right hands it can be a dangerous animal. you stick to your limited ss that hauls your family and ill run 11's in a quarter with mines.
DetroitFitted - why the attitude? - Sure the TB has an LS2 - so what? The LS2 has a fat torque curve that, when paired with the 4.10 rear, give decent acceleration AND towing ability, but it sure isn't a "racing truck". I love the SRT8 - I went with the TB 'cause I have a trailer to pull. Look at the other engine, interior and towing options with the Trailblazer - and then tell me why you wouldn't get the SS package? When I want to run 11's, I have an '07 Z06 for that.
i have no atittude im just stating the facts. If i can run with your vette with a couple bolt on i would call that more then just a suv. whats not sport about a trailblazer ss? you just stating your opinion in many other ppl opinion uncluding the manfacture this is a sport truck. that my only arguement. zo6's are beutiful..
I can see your point, if drag racing is your bag. For me, I race in SCCA solo-type events with my 'vette and I would never dream of showing up in my TB, or my daily driver G35 6MT sedan for that matter. They are just not what I call sports cars... For what its worth, the Infinity would run circles around the TBSS and the SRT8 on a road course, lose to them both in a drag race, yet they all carry the same number of people and golf bags. The main difference - only the TBSS can really TOW stuff.
i completely understand bro. tbss is not made for a track at all. but in a straight line i love it im down to mid 10s ill have some videos posted soon sorry if i came off a little up tight i defend my chevys tho.lol
sorry but the g35 will not run circles on the tbss. I raced my buddy, i had him by 10 car lengths at 120mph... granted mine is tuned up with a few mods also i have the rwd. but the ss can be a beast if you want it to be im running mid 12's right now thats fast for a truck that weighs 4500 pounds, but i agree with you that its nice to tow up to 8000 pounds too
I was referring to any race with corners... In a drag race, my wife driving my TBSS will easily pull away from my G35.
I took my TBSS out to a "fun-day" autocross event with our local sports car club, once. It handled like a pig, much like I expected. It did manage to place on the podium in stock, but that was more to do with the lack of talent at the event. It is not the graceful corner carvers that my G35 or Z06 are, that's for sure, but it was fun to powerslide around the track...
We all buy cars for different reasons. Stock tbss is so restricted by the intake, clutch fan, and shitty tune. It seems they tuned it so grandma can get grocery's without hurting herself
much different outcome from a dig, and lets not forget that the TBSS has more purpose in life (Can tow, Haul, etc) and costs less than the 300c. (btw- u probably pulled away from that tbss at about 100 or so, and lets not forget that the TBSS has the aerodynamics of a house, Its like a wall trying to break through the air lol
wtf would i want to buy a performance vehicle and tow with it? I have a chevy HD that will tow a fuckin house. And about passin him, i was beside him (passing him) before the 2-3 shift which occurs around 75, so i passed him around 60-65. A wall huh, have you ever looked at the front of a 300?
Well I guess you could shell out 70K+ or just buy 1 car that could do just as much give or take for half the price. If your 300 weighs 4555 I would be surprised. It must of had FULL fuel 4 passengers (since thats all that fits). The tbss weighs ~4900-5k lbs. But lets not forget the fact that its much easier (and cheaper) to modify the LS engines. With bolt-ons ONLY tbss can pull off a 12.3 1/4 and thats a full size SUV....now, can your 300 do that aswell???
Dude, go troll on someone else's videos. I don't know why you're stuck on this shit. Who fuckin cares who much they weigh, which has an advantage.. go easily modify your LSx .. if you have one, troll.
waaa waaa waaaaaaa is all I hear, I love the "(since thats all that fits)" while you're talking about a huge 4door sedan jesus how much more room do you need? and what are you gonna put 1 extra person in the rear part of the TBSS? rofl fuckin troll
the tbss weighs 4680 lbs. the Chrysler weighs 4046 lbs. And I guarantee that chevy will outlast that piece of shit mopar two times over, chryslers are JUNK.
@abdulemole....yea it either wasn't racing or it was a 5.3 regular trailblazer haha

It's a shame that the 300 is such an ugly car... A Rolls has class, a 300 is just ghetto.
