  • Am I the only one that got chills? :D Lovely lol I get 22s on my QH/arab cross. You really gotta ride your horse to get up there in time haha xx

  • I ride an Arab that has been busting out 18-22 second pole runs for a lot of his life. He's 24 now and can still run them that fast, it's so much fun! That was an awesome run!

  • Could you scream any louder??

  • shes pro! and thankgod for the mute botton!

  • to me the poles look a little far apart, but it prolly could JUST be me

  • I just loved it how your horse just dove for his two end poles and the way his lead changes.

  • that was awesome you were great!:)

  • OH GOD PLEASE MAKE IT WITHOUT SOUND!!!

    Also, neat video, great horse.

  • Wow, That was breathtaking. did you show again this year in Columbus? If you made it tot he sweapstakes, I'll be watching this weekend!

  • that horse knows what hes doing, nice to watch

  • I wish my horse could do flying changes like that! AMAZING!

  • great run!!!!!! No pattern is perfect but that was pretty close

  • Oh my gosh! She trained that horse well! Amazing! I'm a jumper and cross country rider, but this is still amazing to watch!

  • @Yelaih66 thank you!!

  • i went to congress in 2008 i showed in walk jog on my horse I'm In Denile my mom showed him too

  • i just got shivers watching that.

  • Good run! Me and my hose had my fastest run last weeked with a 21.282, he is really improving! You and your horse look like a really good team!

  • @barrelracer413les thank you! 21 is something to definitely be Proud of! I still remember my first 21!

  • wow nice, my 11 year old did her first competitive pole bending race last sunday with a run of 26 seconds in an outdoor arena which was heavy and full of clogs which wasnt too shabby by the looks of things.

  • @teenymak I just started my 13yr old Arab and one her 1st run on it she got 27.005 I was so proud!

  • o.o Geez I fell out of my chair when the people started screaming like heck.

  • The amazing thing is, there are little spots where he slowed downa little. If he truly did the pattern without those little spots he would have had a lower time. Still, AMAZING run!

  • @livelaughride17 thank you girl!! I totally agree... it was a great run, but can run lower Im sure of it too!

  • oh shizzi...where is this!?!?!

  • @gobarrelracing Quarter horse Congress, Columbus, Ohio

  • @betsugs1 danggg lolo

  • I love this horse! his flying changes are outstanding! Good job :)

  • @RodeoPrincesss Thank you!! He really has come upon them naturally, but its definity the reason he can make runs like this!

  • Your horse is the most amazing pole bending horse i have ever seen! you are very lucky to own such a great horse! Great Job! : D

  • Wow, 19 seconds! That's amazing!!!!

  • @horselover1773 thank you!! defining moment in my life!

  • wow, amazing!!! Congrats!!

  • sorry your probably getting anoyed for me commiting again but i just wanted to say thanks for posting this video, i noticed how when you weave you sit up and kinda lean forward rather than sitting in the saddle. so i have been trying that and i have been consistently shaving half a sec off my patterns going from a average 23.0 to 22.5s and i even clocked a 22.1 (my personal best) i am no where near ur level but i just wanted to say thanks, you helped me outand probably didnt even realize it lol

  • @Barrelracerr212 I would never get annoyed!! Thank you so much for posting this and letting me know! I acutally coach and teach because I just want to help people succeed! I have learned a lot through teaching about the way a person should run poles. Its great that you have picked out to shorten those lines, and get up over your horse. Now here is the rest of the secret to 19 second poles: when you weave, you need to create bend towards the pole with the horses nose, not pull away.

  • Girl,you have got TALENT!! i won my pole run at Cbra With a 19.548 !! I WAS AMAZING! and I won a barrel race with a 13.445 :)

  • amazing. I love pole bending- but its virtually impossible to get 1 secs on ma 14.2... I luvvim to peices tho.

  • GOOODDD JOBB that was a very nice run!=)

  • wow! awesome! pole bending is my favorite gymkhana event! i still run my 23 y.o. arab/saddlebred mare at fair every year. it's so hard to slow her down! she may be 23, but she acts like she's about 7! congrats on your run by the way! =)

  • Great job!!!! I love the crowd!!! haha! =)

  • awesome run!! Wow, someone comment need eyes, obiously that didn't do ya no harm if you ran a NINETEENER!

you and your horse are an awesome team! :)

  • hey , Tbrls23 stop acting like a no it all she did fine i would like to c u run a nineteen second pole pattern!!

  • WOW! That was flying! I've never seen a pole horse break 20! Niceee!!!

  • thank you!! me either at the time!

  • wow! great run! my friend was there too.

  • If you want to get REAL specific here, then watch the video closely- watch what the horse does BEFORE he nicks that second-last pole on the first weave-through.

He was late in switching his previous lead from pole 4-5 before the rider even thought about looking back, and he put himself off-rhythym, which is why he didn't switch correctly for the end pole. He was in the wrong place to do it, which was a mistake on his part long before the look-back, and not because the rider threw him off.

  • It totally depends on *how* you look. At that speed, you are actually going to be leaning in the direction you're looking. This is why we tell barrel racers to *not* look at their barrel.

I did just try this in my chair, and my weight only shifted back to the opposite direction as I was looking when I concentrated and leaned back. When I just looked, my weight shifted in the same direction as the look.

So yes, her weight went to the outside, which would have allowed the proper leadchange.

  • You really shouldn't look back like that, it throws your horse off, thats why he turned back up soo wide!

  • yeah, maybe, if he always turned that bottom pole tight, which he doesnt! and if you watch closely, he didnt switch his hind lead

  • Yeah he didn't change where he's supposed to. She looked back after the spot where he normally would have changed, and if you watch the rest of her body, her weight isn't shifting just from the turn of the neck. If anything she NEEDED to get her weight back to the outside (the direction she looked) and encourage him to change the hind lead with her inside hip out of the way.

  • @IIIBarsV Exactly. but when she looked away it shifted her weight to the inside. just try it sitting in a chair, look to your left and you'll feel your weight shift to the right and vise versa....

  • Nice run. I want to go to congress for WP and Reining some day, but I have to find the money to get there first. xD

  • i bet it felt great to win at Congress! that was an amazing run too! i have always dreamed of going to congress. but i need to fing a good quarter horse first.

  • there is no other feeling like it in the world! The first time I won back in '07, the jr. horse poles, I had to sit down because I was shaking and crying and couldn't believe it!
