@ByHisWounds20 Sorry, I have to rain on your parade. Nowhere in the Genesis flood myth does it say that the reason for Noah being the only one saved is his "pure blood" (which sounds a bit like Nazi race theory to me). And you see that this entire myth has a flaw that I call "plot driven incompetency". If god wants to kill someone, why must he do so through indirect means of a flood? Why not strike everyone he wants to kill down instantly?

@lagerbaer God doesn't WANT to kill anyone. It's up to us if He punishes us or not. God uses nature because it was created to reflect Him.

If god's law is written down in the 10 commandments, which were received by moses, how exactly could all the people before him follow god's law? How then can one claim that only Noah lived by god's law? There was no god's law... (And... didn't other people have boats too, for fishing and stuff?)

1.God's Law existed in eternity past before it was set in stone.

2.In Noah's day God spoke to man directly; That's why the canon's closed because we now have all we need to know in Genesis-Revelation. The ball's in our court now.

3.Because human beings were designed to reflect God as the crown jewel of His creation God's Law is written on our hearts & minds so that all people are without excuse.

4.Boats; Too big a catastrophe & they didn't believe it was coming.

Because I have faith in it. If it is not disproven, it is the absolute truth and it means that I am correct.

@blue4arekkusu Problem with your conclusion; The Bible isn't speaking of species Wolves Coyotes Foxes Dogs for example. Rather it's speaking of Kind; Canines Felines Primates Pacaderms (as in the specific prehistoric ancestors of the varies species). Diversification came later(even from an evolutionary perspective).

@EmetTalmudim6 There is no evidence for what the term "kind" (as used in the bible) actually refers to. In Genesis, it states that god created "every living creature that moveth", implying that all species were created from the start. This implies that the ark was meant to hold a few members from every species alive at the time. Plus, a few thousand years isn't enough for the evolutionary process to produce the varied species we have now from just canines, felines, etc.

1.Implying & specifically stating something (IE"God created every living species") are not the same thing; Logically God could've created their forebearers & they procreated the varied species.

2.There's nothing in the Text that rules out the option of forebearers rather than species.

3.Really? Have you seen the PBS special about dogs; How they RELATIVELY quickly stemmed from wolves & how foxes kept in captivity today are exibiting the physical traits of dogs?

I think that pretty much rules out the forebearers theory. Even if you're correct, how did the surviving animals have enough genetic diversity to repopulate?

1."After kind." That it's referring to forebearers & not species is Textually optional; & from an evolutionary perspective most likely the case.

@EmetTalmudim6 Suppose you are right and dogs really are able to evolve into their current forms rather quickly - are you implying that ALL species of animals evolved as quickly? Plus, if evolution is indeed true, then why are humans exempt from this, since the bible clearly states they were created.

1.It was a MAINSTREAM SECULAR ACADEMIC network that made the claim & presented the evidence.

2.Since wolves=dogs so quickly then & captive foxes quickly take on the physical traits of dogs, why not so with every other forebearer of modern animals?

3.With animals (as with man) if you're talking about Microevolution(Diversification­) no problem or conflict. If you're talking Macroevolution (1 kind=every other kind) big problem.

Basic law of science; Kind produces after kind.

@EmetTalmudim6 I also used to believe that macroevolution was false due to my sheltered, religious, homeschooled upbringing. After leaving home and reading up on evolution, I realized that I was wrong. I'm not a biologist, so I can't argue on the finer points of macroevolution - you can read up on that yourself. I have nothing more to say on this topic.

I went to public school from 1st grade till I was 12 years old.

From 12 on, though homeschooled, I was allowed to read whatever I wanted & come to my own conclusions.

I particularly enjoyed secular documentaries then i researched on their claims in detail from all points. The biological fact is;

Primate=only Primate

Canine=only canine

Feline=only feline

Pacaderm=only pacaderm

Human Being=only human being.

Note; Leviathon is a GENERIC term that, GIVEN CONTEXT, can refer to various aquatic creature; Crocodiles, whales, & prehistoric water dinosaurs.

1.That'd be where giving people 1,000 yrs (from Adam-Noah) to turn around from self destruction before it's too late; leading Enoch & Noah to warn them to do so; & by rescuing Noah, his wife, Ham, Shem, & Japheth, & their wives (Thus everyone after that including you & me) comes in. @EmetTalmudim6 Good judges and good doctors do not commit mass murder as part of their jobs. Secondly, everyone except the lucky eight were destroyed. Do you really think there weren't any young children or babies among that group who were killed as well? In what context is it acceptable to kill an infant or young child for some "terrible" deed the parents did? It doesn't matter if a group is given 1000 years to "repent" - the children were innocent.

2.A judge sentencing criminals for their crimes is not murder; & were the judge not to they wouldn't be doing the criminal or society(including those innocent children) a favor.

3.And the 8 were just as guilty as those condemned; The difference is they turned themselves in, pled guilty, & threw themselves on the mercy of the court.

A.When I was 9 I got basic right & wrong (Depending on when the individual's age of accountability is, they're responsible for their own choices).

B.Those who had not reached personal accountability were regardard as innocent (He took them home to be with Him; As we would remove a child from an abusive family for their benafit).

C.Biblically speaking the legal age of accountability is 21 & up.

@EmetTalmudim6 Regarding someone as innocent still doesn't justify killing them. The infants and young children never even had the opportunity to "repent". Also, while a 9-year-old may be capable of determining right from wrong, they are still far too young to fully grasp the consequences of their actions - that level of cognitive ability doesn't develop until the late teens.

1.But since those under the age of accountability (Biblically 21 & up) are regarded as innocent they're ONLY PHYSICALLY dead & are with God. The condemned accountable are ONLY PHYSICALLY DEAD too & by they're own choice away from God.

2.Since God is allknowing He knew had they had the chance they wouldn't have chosen to turn themselves in, because of the world's condition then & now.

@EmetTalmudim6 Since god is all-knowing, he shouldn't have placed a tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden, knowing full well that his creations would be too tempted by it. Actually, scratch that - let's go back even farther. Since god is all-knowing, he shouldn't have created evil, knowing full well all the pain and suffering it would cause later after creating the angels, the earth and its inhabitants, etc.
