Those kinds of cartoons don't need any kind of plot whatsoever, so the creators can keep going and going because the episodes don't really even have to connect to each other. With GOOD cartoon that actually have plot, sadly the creators are eventually going to run out of ideas and then cancel the show. Which is such a shame.

@zigweepee According to something I heard, Dwayne McDuffie wanted a fifth season, but since they couldn't get a "toy line" for Static Shock, they did not get renewed. If that is true, it is a shame this show had to end due to a lack of official toy merchandise.
