I'M SORRY, but cool boss fight and all.... but how in the hell were you supposed to figure out that if you stick your sword in the air, you can charge it up with lightning and stun the absolute living fuck out of him?
Fuckin' Fi, come on, you can tell me, "He has a really big sword, plus now it has electricity too. That's going to hurt, be careful." But you can't tell me "You can totally make him your bitch by sticking your sword in the air."
@futurecomic75 I found out the same way. I saw him charge with lightning and launch it at me so I was like "What if I use the goddess strike!" then it go lightning and I was like "Fuck yeah"
Oh. My. Lawd. Are you kidding me? I never even thought to point my sword up to get the same lightning power as Demise. Are you seriously telling me that I spent the entire final boss battle shield bashing his attacks and then taking one strike at a time? ACHHH!
I think that Fi and Girahim are polar opposites, because if you compare Demise's sword to the Master Sword, they both have very similar characteristics. The gems on Gi and Fi's chests and the hilt and handles of the swords are the same. The only difference is the blades. Both Girahim and Fi also have a "Master."
Well fuck, I had no idea I could snag a Skyward Strike from a lightning bolt -_- . I just Shield Bashed the crap out of him until he fired off his Skyward Strike. Get a couple of hits in, block 3 more times, get some more hits in, then get smacked by lightning and start the next round. Had to use 1/2 of Heart Potion++, and one Guardian Potion+ (at 4 Hearts). But I do have the pleasure of saying that I ganked him b4 my Guardian Potion wore off. I did have the Potion Medal :3 .
@metawolf987 I figured out right near the beginning that I could snag some lightning just from trying a Skyward Strike. I used Heart Potion++ three times and two fairies, and if he hit me once more I would probably have died. So when I defeated him it felt pretty awesome. I never tried the Guardian Potion during the game. It just makes you invincible?
You made the first phase of this battle look way harder than it actually is, and the second part way easier. Haha. I died a couple of times at that second phase because I didn't know he would be smart and attack you while you were getting a skyward strike ready. Jerk.
But this guy impressed me a lot, the way he is Ganon's original incarnation... the way Ghirahim was his Fi all along, the scar on his head due to the sword the has sealed him for so long. This game is just brilliant.

If I remember rightly, the Armoured knights from Ocarina of time Where harder to kill than this vagina, and even then you had to kill 2 of them before you could take on Ganon, who you fought twice in the space of like an hour
@Sagaterious Not really,because you have to attack quickly and in the right direction after he defends,and he doesn't stun from your attack,which make you vulnerable,so you have to watch yourself to not go overboard with your attacking,like the video shows,he lost a lot of hearts,if he didn't use the potion he probably would have died.
But yeah, the second phase is really easy,if you absorb the thunder he doesn't stand a chance.You don't even have to be close to stun him.

When you get to the last part just before you get the final fairy, You have to fight FOUR IRON KNUCKLES, Luckily I did it after half an hour/ an hour, IT IS NOT EASY AT ALL. VERY HARD INFACT. Unless you got a good strategy and loads of items to use at your disposal, the four iron knuckles will kill you with ease.
Wow I didn't know that you could use the lightning as a substitute for the skyward strike. I actually beat him without knowing that. Also, to the people wondering what the mark on his forehead is.... I believe thats a scar from the spike in his forehead that kept him imprisoned in the ground.
Also I love that image of Demise's hand outstretched towards Link before the battle. A total homage to the scene before the final Ganondorf battle in Oot!
I have to say, I was really skeptical with what I initially felt was a pretty dumb name. Demise. But Nintendo did a really solid job tying it all into Ganon/Ganondorf's existence! Also, unlike the extremely derpy Imprisoned battles, Demise is incredibly epic! Lightning skyward strikes? Fuck yes.

Basicly Ganondorf is the incarnation of Demise's personality and his evilness, all is explained in a cutscene after you finish the final boss, I'm not sure if it's in this video. You'll have to play the game/view another video with the cutscenes after this in order to understand why Demise looks so much like Ganondorf.
@joeshadowman you have to beat 8 bosses in a row at boss rush then quit and the dragon will give you a "SUPER STURDY SHEILD" hat never breaks aka the hyrule shield (activate boss rush by talking to the thunder dragon a second time)
Oh, also, dunno how many care, but: If you go to your start menu (the equipment screen, not the treaure screen), on the bottom-left, there's that panel that says 'standard', Click on it to have it say 'Light' then 'Pro', and the silluettes of the wii mote and nunchuck dissapear, and the screen is alot less cluttered.
this was the greatest boss fight ever. especially cause you learn that he was the original gannon. because he was gannons ancestor. i love this game so much

@JKOROX you can tell he is though, he will "REINCARNATE" and kill link in another life, you can infer it because this game takes place before the other zelda games.
@HelloItsEric i know some with me i just beat this game on hero mode and i own ALL the zelda games i even have the old Ocarina Of Time and majora's Mask for the N64 and i have all the merchandise i could get my hands on. but its nice to meat someone with the same love of the zelda games as me
thats not fair my game must be glitched or something as i can't absorb one of those lighting bolt no matter how much i try. So instead I went Pro mode and fought him using what i had. Shield attacks and and my sword.
Demise at one point says something along the lines of "i'll torture your ansesters"(aka all the other Links in the series) before he takes off into the final boss area. Proof Demise is the 1st incarnation of Ganon.

Demise is Ganondorf basically these events took place after twilight princess A.k.a it's Ganon reincarnated hints the glowing scar on his forehead but they certainly made him look badass

Why did you do so long to defeat his first phase? I didn't defeated him because I didn't know what to do in his second one, but the first did go pretty fast for me. Just pressing a to jump backwards when he swings his sword and then run back quickly and hit him as much as you can.
@Danfepkm You need the life medals. However, with a fully upgraded adventure bag, you can have a shield, two bottles, both medals, and all 3 ammo bags, so dont worry too much about it.
My shield broke during the Ghirahim battle so when I got to Demise's lightning part, I had to do a backflip when he attacks and land one swing on him each time..
i actually didn't know that you could skyward strike with the lightning in the last part.... i did however know that you can take all of his attacks on with a shield and wait till he throws his lightning at you then you can bash at him while he preps his skyward strike.... pretty much the only thing i did and the battle took me a solid 30 minutes lol

Trust me people, when you actually get to this boss and play against him yourself, its epic beyond belief. Pretty damn hard too! Think about it people, its Link vs. the Dark god who is the source of all evil...how could that not be awesome! Best final boss fight I've ever played in a video game.
If you are only watching this boss fight and have never even played it; shame on you. This fight is all about actually playing against him. It's not easy at first.. I didn't watch this til after I beat the game and I didn't even know you could get lightning to strike your sword D: I was beating him the hard way XD
Anyway, this boss fight is fun and just watching it does no justice

@joeshadowman you have to beat 8 bosses in a row at boss rush then quit and the dragon will give you a "SUPER STURDY SHEILD" hat never breaks aka the hyrule shield (activate boss rush by talking to the thunder dragon a second time)

Oh, also, dunno how many care, but: If you go to your start menu (the equipment screen, not the treaure screen), on the bottom-left, there's that panel that says 'standard', Click on it to have it say 'Light' then 'Pro', and the silluettes of the wii mote and nunchuck dissapear, and the screen is alot less cluttered.

@HelloItsEric It never said that he was gonnon's ancestor, he just lived for a LONG LONG LONG LONG time (because he is immortal) There is no proof that he is his ancestor, but i agree best boss fight ever (especially the final blow) and BEST GAME EVER

@JKOROX you can tell he is though, he will "REINCARNATE" and kill link in another life, you can infer it because this game takes place before the other zelda games.

thats not fair my game must be glitched or something as i can't absorb one of those lighting bolt no matter how much i try. So instead I went Pro mode and fought him using what i had. Shield attacks and and my sword.

This is the origin story of Zelda.
Ganon is Demise reincarnated.
Demise at one point says something along the lines of "i'll torture your ansesters"(aka all the other Links in the series) before he takes off into the final boss area. Proof Demise is the 1st incarnation of Ganon.

Demise is Ganondorf basically these events took place after twilight princess A.k.a it's Ganon reincarnated hints the glowing scar on his forehead but they certainly made him look badass

Why did you do so long to defeat his first phase? I didn't defeated him because I didn't know what to do in his second one, but the first did go pretty fast for me. Just pressing a to jump backwards when he swings his sword and then run back quickly and hit him as much as you can.

@Danfepkm You need the life medals. However, with a fully upgraded adventure bag, you can have a shield, two bottles, both medals, and all 3 ammo bags, so dont worry too much about it.

If you parry enough of his attacks in a row, he gets stunned allowing for more than just 1 hit at a time.

My shield broke during the Ghirahim battle so when I got to Demise's lightning part, I had to do a backflip when he attacks and land one swing on him each time..

Ahhh, so THAT'S how I did the Skyward Strike on him!
I pulled it off during the final battle by complete accident.
I was too surprised to take advantage of it, though, and I beat him WITHOUT USING IT from that point onward.
It was a climactic clash.

i actually didn't know that you could skyward strike with the lightning in the last part.... i did however know that you can take all of his attacks on with a shield and wait till he throws his lightning at you then you can bash at him while he preps his skyward strike.... pretty much the only thing i did and the battle took me a solid 30 minutes lol

Trust me people, when you actually get to this boss and play against him yourself, its epic beyond belief. Pretty damn hard too! Think about it people, its Link vs. the Dark god who is the source of all evil...how could that not be awesome! Best final boss fight I've ever played in a video game.

If you are only watching this boss fight and have never even played it; shame on you. This fight is all about actually playing against him. It's not easy at first.. I didn't watch this til after I beat the game and I didn't even know you could get lightning to strike your sword D: I was beating him the hard way XD
Anyway, this boss fight is fun and just watching it does no justice
