what said about the leather couch was interesting, i have one in my flat and i feel like..when i sit on it, i 'm some way supporting the leather industry or whatvere you want to call it. we 've had the sofa since i was about 6 and i've only just started my journey to veganism and i am now 18. so its strange feeling like i sometiems can't sit on it. but what i do sometimes if i want to sit on it is put a few pillows or a cover over the area i'm sitting on. what do you think of this? :/
Being a vegan is pretty hard, there's just so many things that you never think of like @willreddish pointed out, even shampoo is non-vegan so I'm realizing there is so many things you have to consider.
Hey, I'm a little late on this. But I just became a vegan and I have a question, has there ever been a time where some sort of animal product was in your food without you knowing it? Like are there any sneaky foods like that I should be aware of? For example, I learned that Skittles have gelatin. Thanks!
just wanted to say THANK YOU! i am a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. So i do eat dairy products and eggs. I LOVE Boca burgers and Amy's frozen meals.people think that if you are a vegetarian it takes forever to cook a meal.hello...it dosnt! but i totally look up to ALL VEGANS! i hope im a vegan one day!
I'm a vegetarian but for some reason every time I try to become vegan it seems there are no other food options which probably sounds crazy.
Plus my family isn't exactly supportive. They think I'm unhealthy and I do try to eat vegetable. My family still tell me their opinons during any meal.
How can I become a vegan and convince my parents to respect my descision?
@SICKANDTIRED1695 First respect your parents Then at 18 do what you want. A large number of teens and children who improperly try to go pure Vegan have developmental problems. Your parents are probably smarter than you think.
Not saying it is impossible..but without parental support, a child or teen trying to go Vegan is very dangerous and potentially permanently damaging.
Aw, I didn't see this response until today thank you :) I've figured out a lot of stuff... it will be 2 years of being vegan for me soon! Thanks for your video. I love peanut butter by the way. And make my own salsas cause of MSG which sucks but there are some that don't have it and I do buy those :) A lot of things have changed in the way I think over the years, I no longer feel comfortable using my wool sweater so I gave it away, Thanks for all!
i've been a vegetarian for more than 2 years and i want to convert to being a vegan but when i tried before i got depressed o.o
but thanks for giving your opinion on some stuff.
the video's sound and video was off a bit, in case you didn't notice. i have a question though: would you ever date anyone who wasn't a vegetarian/vegan? someone asked me yesterday and I didn't know what to say. it just seemed obvious that it was ok. . but what do you think?
@cindygisel yeah, my video camera was out of wack, but I figured I'd make the video anyway.
I definitely encourage you to go vegan.
I think that's really a personal decision. I'm not sure. Luckily, my partner is vegetarian (although not vegan). I think you should be open to different kinds of people - who know, you may convert someone else to becoming vegan/vegetarian!
& you really are lucky on having a veggy girlfriend, cause that's pretty hard to find. and i agree, that is a personal decision. i think if it comes down to it, just like religion, you should tolerate someone else's beliefs but uh, having a veggy partner is definitely preferable.

@deanmullen10 You also need to avoid gelatine, and I allways read the ingredient lists.
