@rallsy28 I dont, sorry! If you get Deschutes it should be around though. Check the brewery website they have a beer locator on it by zip code. Cheers!
Good to see a witbier being the basis of a collaboration. Interesting to see how they differ. I should be able to get the Deschutes version. Looking forward to trying Conflux No. 2.
I just located this, I'll be picking uo a couple of bottles of the Boulevard version Saturday, 120 miles one way, but sounds worth it. I saw one other review of this, and it sounds awesome. Boulevard id on the top of their game now.
whats interesting is the slight difference in color too. I am not sure if it was the camera angle or the lighting in you home, but the colors where slightly different. I like the idea of two breweries coming up with a reciepe and then going home and brewing. As you said, there are differences, and thats fun. That is what is one of the many great things about brewing
@ChadzBeerReviews Collab #1 was brewed a year or 2 ago with a Belgian Brewery whos name escapes me, but it was Boulevard and the Belgian brewer. This was Boulevard's 2nd collab and this time it was with Deschutes.
Man I have been really loving the stuff Boulevard is putting out there Belgian stuff is awesome Sixth Glass BBQ and Tank 7 are all home runs, I need to give this one a try. Thanks Chris, its a tough job but someone has to do it cheers man.
@allthatalesyou hahah tell me about it! I struggle through these reviews but someone has to do it ;). Yeah they nail Belgian stuff. Tank 7 and the Sixth Glass are both perfect examples of their respective style as is The Dark Truth.
had the Deschutes NO 2 this past weekend and like you said more a hopped witbier. It was a great refreshing summer beer. I also agree the best witbier i have had. I not the biggest fan of the style but this one just hit the spot. Getting some more today!
Nice episode 222! I am very saddened that Deschutes has not made it to Austin, Texas yet. However I love the Boulevard Coloration Number 2! Thanks for the side by side.
@Vorbisis That was one of the big reasons I did the side by side because I think a lot of people wont be able to get both versions so I thought it would be interesting. Cheers
Hey do you happen to know where I can find the Conflux #2? I live in Houston, TX...
Thanks!

@JPHand1708 Yeah I didnt notice the differences when they were in front of me but watching the video I can see there is a slight difference in hue.

This is really cool! I was thinking of possibly doing a White IPA but looks like these guys did it. Awesome.
You did really good condensing this video down to 7 min. So interesting seeing it side by side.

sounds like one was dry hoped and the other was not .....
Goldbloodd 7 months ago
@Goldbloodd THey are both the exact same recipe. Im wondering if water chemistry had something to do with the hop utilization.

the Conflux 2 looks paler than the Collab #2

@StephenDickerman I think that was the lighting. In person they looks identical
