Just saw this for the first time tonight. I felt that Al Pacino was great but the plot was too convoluted and vague for me to really get into it.

I agree it's underrated, probably because it's too mellow of a political suspense thriller for some. It is dated in a couple of parts, and I think Pacino is actually the weakest link in the cast.

Paul Schrader was one of the writers, maybe check out Light Sleeper and Blue Collar if you've never seen those but want something that clocks at the same pace as City Hall.

When I uploaded this, there were no other trailers for City Hall on YouTube but for some reason the audio track is lagged.

@C64b wow i know u posted this 1year ago but ima watch this in a sec. friend brought it over. ima big fan of picanos movies. seen em all and there all almost hit movies. so i cant wait to see this one. hopefully he isnt as weak as u say lol
