I am offended by this Video. This IS NOT the freeport airport alone. Firstly, the airport is a temporary hanger for DOMESTIC travel ONLY. You should have gotten footages of the international airport as well to be fair to us who live on Grand Bahama Island, the Bahamas' SECOND City.

the only reason why freeport airport is like that is because of all the hurricane that tore through the island during 2005 hurricane season. before then freeport airport was as big as nassau airport, only difference was bigger airplanes wen freeport and smaller wen nassau.

That was Terminal 2 in Freeport first of all and second it has been Renovated and expanded FYI and one more thing Terminal 2 is not the main Terminal its in fact Terminal 1.

We as Bahamian know this is only a temporary airport to service the FAMILY ISLANDS. We have airlines like spirit, jet blue, us air, american airline, delta all arriving daily at the international airport. Even though this airport we viewed is small, one thing every one notice is the fact that it is CLEAN in comparison to many we have seen aboard.

This is ONLY the temporary 'domestic' airport building. The 'international' airport is much bigger, and nicer. It also has shops and other restaurants as well as central airconditioning and wireless internet access. In the future, when you are giving a review, be specific and do NOT try to mislead anyone.

I am a bit offended by this video as it is not our fault that nature released its fury on our island. Seeing as most visitors are not foreigners they will NOT even go to this airport The int'l airport has a straw market, taxi stands, restaurantS rental cars and jet-planes. The small planes which are actually small jets belong to western air a small domestic carrier. Bahamas air also has jets which fly domestically and internationally so why make our domestic airport seem like a craphouse?

I am from the Bahamas and I will clear this all up! First, this is the TEMPORARY DOMESTIC AIRPORT... the first was destroyed by the hurricanes the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is larger, nicer and has central airconditioning with more restaurants and it is located a few hundred yards to the left of this one! Mainly locals use this airport to travel to the other islands. Yeah it looks like a warehouse however they are continuing to construct the int'l airport for the convenience of all (inc locals)

Well...Im a native of the Island...and it's amazing how a country's Tourism product is left in the hands of YouTubers. This is scary. For anyone else viewing this video...Please visit the island and see for yourself. Like someone said in earlier comments...that is NOT our INternational Airport. Just flights between islands.

Yeah. You should've reviewed the real Grand Bahama airport, not the Domestic one, but the International one. It's much better.

Also, I second Jerm2006's suggestion to review Atlantis. It is probably the greatest hotel in the Bahamas. It recently features the largest Water Park in the WORLD.

Just because its a "small tropical island" doesn't mean its a third rate place! I wanted to make sure you guys got the real story. So don't believe everything you hear or see. It might help to speak to someone who lives there.

The international airport is much larger and if you were to visit grand bahama, that is the airport you would be flying into not this one here. Lastly, the domestic airport shown here was only meant to be temporary. The previous one was badly devastated by the Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne in 2004 and it had to be quickly rebuilt in order to service domestic flights as efficiently as possible.

IDIOTS!!! The first clip that says "Lynden Pindling International Airport" is a clip of Nassau's airport! Not Grand Bahama's! And furthermore, the rest of this video is the domestic airport - just for flights in between the Bahamian islands.

Wow. I wouldn't have even noticed that it was NAS. I have been to FPO many times! This is the domestic section of the airport. The Intl. side has shops, bar, rest, etc. :)
