I'm wondering if those who are against the procedure have a low pain tolerance, little patience, talkative, highly social people. Nothing against that. I just think that your muscles and whatnot that have to heal. And its hard when you vocalize a lot, let alone eat and drink. Some brush off the pain and others feel it was a bad idea. I'm considering the procedure and preparing my mindset for this expected pain and temporary suffering.

@sarahkhsarah usually only a year...but that's after they get the bleeding to stop from the open wound they have to leave in your neck. The weirdest part was feeling my breath escape out of my neck wound, and having my water squirt out when I swallowed. But you get used to that and all the pain. It's kinda fun!

omg you are so lucky as a 20yr old i'm sorry i know it was probably painful but nothing compared to what I went thru as a 30yr old I had on over 2weeks ago I still have a raw spot in the back of my throat and am still on soft foods. I'm working on making a video for adult tonsillectomy do's and don't's cuz sometimes adults just have no choice but to have this surgery. You my dear are not that old and honestly to be talking that well after just 5 days you are lucky.

@MyLola32 some people can see that they have the concretions but others cant..usually people cough them up when they're sick or something but mine we're actually embedded into my tonsils. and what do you mean how does it feel before surgery? like going into surgery or your tonsils?

@sarahkhsarah usually only a year...but that's after they get the bleeding to stop from the open wound they have to leave in your neck.
