At about 21:20ish they tell about a address - did anyone actually get that address and go to it? If you did could you tell me what it is - I can't understand what he is saying - Thanks
guys dont know if u read coments but google fuc u up u have to do something with sat nav app for user others then sprint and free, i had to get win mo phone becaus of that. multi task yes, hardware keybord, smole phone large screan, man i lve this device,ye fast camra:)
I hope that they also support Flash in applications once Flash 10.1 is officially released. I understand providing support for games and applications through the PDK, but it would be awesome to bring Flash games and applications directly to the device as applications rather than leaving it in the browser
You should do these podcasts in the style of Gryff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith from Not the Nine O'Clock News from BBC :-) You guys make a great double act. Good energy.
The best and worst aspects of webOS development (using the web-based SDK) is its openness. As is mentioned in the beginning of the podcast, the source code for many of the built-in apps are easy to explore. Its openness allowed me to re-vamp the built-in Music Player app into "Music Player (Remix)" which is available as a homebrew app.
The negative of this type of openness is that your source code is available to the masses even if you'd prefer to not release your software as open-source.
This is pretty exciting. I've got some app ideas that have been rolling in my head for a while now and this is just the thing I need to kick me into gear. Keep it up!
Interesting podcast, I didn't realize there was a $50 fee. While I understand the theology behind it, it seems like it will also deter a number of developers as well.
Some of the greatest software ever invented was originally offered as freeware, all it cost was "time." To charge a developer both time and money is potentially dangerous.

@RiCHC3 the charge is only if you want the app catalog exposure. You can do web distribution without the fee
JayCanuck 1 year ago 2
@RiCHC3, JayCanuck is correct.
I also think that if your app is made open source and/or free the fee is waived to get on Palm's app catalog.
za7ch 1 year ago
@za7ch Open source apps do not have a $50 fee; however free, closed-source apps do.

@HedamiSoft, Ahh, thanks for the clarification.
ps- I love... LOVE your apps.
