does the combo have enough low end? I can't choose between the combo or a 100W head, anyway, later on I'll get two of them (for stereo effects) so I think 2x100W will be to loud. You have the combo, what do you think?
The combo is really nice and it's pretty impressive being a 1x12. Anyways i don't know how much low end do you need and what styles you want to cover with it. You can play metal with a huge low end with no problem if that's what you're asking for.
yes, for metal low end would be nice, but I'm more concerned about the clean mode, can it do jazzy/ high headroom cleans that blow you away like some vintage amps do, or is it cold and lifeless? I play rock and metal aswell, but I'm going to study jazz next year, and the clean channel must be good for that. I've also tried some 6L6-based amps, wich are warm sounding, but I miss some pick attack, it reacts slower.
The clean channel is supernice really. It's the best of the 3 diezels out there (herbert, vh4 and einstein), i didn't tried the new model called Schmidt but it's focused into vintage and rock sounds so it may be better. I have a good friend who study jazz and he loves my einstein so....
In comparison with the herbert and the vh4, the "home use" is better since it sounds really good from very low levels, you don't need to push it a lot.
