  • i used to be able to play the trombone way to go

  • Instant fav, you rock man, and yeah the way you launch OD is hilarious :D

    awesome :)

  • @xGshikamaru thanks dude i'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Just came across this again today, and it's just as awesome as it was 2 and a half years ago.

This is one of the best Rock Band videos of all time. OF ALL TIME! x)

  • now this is how to score chicks

  • This man is a genius...

  • ok, i am the 6th grader tht musicislove729 mentioned in her comment and tht is so awesome bro!

  • THIS JUST BLEW MY MIND. my little sister is in 6th grade and just started learning how to play the trombone. i'll have to show her this video she will freak when she finds out she can play rockband like this haha!

  • FUCK ANIME !!!

  • The way you activate always makes me laugh to this day ES. XD

  • @hellashes haha thanks for watching again man, i gotta get some more videos up...

  • I...wow.

I play trombone. I understand how the slide generally makes it easier to learn songs by ear, but more difficult to play in tune when you're laying out a bunch of notes. From my RB experience, I know that song is really hard to FC just because it's hard to SING that quickly in tune.

You, sir, are made of win.

Now, I'm going to take a page out of your book and start tromboning to Rush.

  • You're the fucking man.

  • Best video ive seen on youtube.

  • That's one way to play the game.....

  • you sir would make an EPIC FUCKING SKA PLAYER

  • NOT Db!!! D:

  • how did you figure out the notes?

  • Arguably one of the hardest songs to sing in RB1, and this guy goes ahead and smashes it with a TROMBONE of all things.

    Sir, you are a god.

  • @PseudonymicBob I AGREE, THAT WAS AWESOME!

  • Good ole key of b natural. Always there to make playing more difficult than it needs to be. Good job!

  • OH MI GOSH I DO THAT BUT I SUCK AT IT!!!

  • I just noticed, thats a bass trombone.

  • @trypwned no dude, this is a tenor, a bass would have another valve.

  • @ES942 sorry, i'm just used to the regular trombone. i play too.

  • @trypwned you all know what a soprano trombone is?!?!?!?!

  • How have I not thought of this! Ahaha! Such a sweet idea

  • U R BEAST!

  • Champion

  • Me and a friend wanted to do some of this yet we can't really tell what note is what on the vocals chart. What did you use to figure it out?

  • E♭! NOT D♭! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU MAN?!? Haha, just kidding man. That was freaking awesome. Keep it up!

  • as a fellow low brass player...i salute you

  • Nice vocals probably the best trombone hero vocals on youtube compared to the others but... all in all good job dude 5/5 : )

  • awesome! What brand is your trombone? and for how long have you played?

  • Hillarious and epicly awesome at the same time! Great job!

  • SUPEEER

  • THAT IS BAD ASS!

  • this looks like another way to play an instrument in vocals. im going to see if you can do this with a violin.

  • Lol this is sick

  • Sub and a thumbs up for you, my good sir.

  • WHO THE HELL GAVE THIS A THUMBS DOWN?

  • Bach 42 nice got me the same trombone

  • This is the best Rock Band video ever.

  • I'd love the notes to this.

  • as a musician myself, i found this highly entertaining.....i don't really play guitar hero/rockband games anymore, but that was awesome/hilarious hahaha

  • It would be much appreciated if you could give me the notes.

  • Haha, I love you for this.

  • ahahaha great!

  • Amazing.

  • hwow awesome man! After seeing this I got a good idea. I did this song on Expert drums but instead of plugging in the drum set controller I just plugged in the mike and set it up in front of my real drumset and played the song how it's supposed to go. But it didn't work. Maybe the Rock Band mic doesn't pick up percussive notes? Idk. Any ideas?

  • Because you can't sustain notes on a drum. Well, you can drum roll, but that is a very different sound, and causes different wavelength patterns than a single sustained note.

  • @SirRocko17 are you retarded? of course you cant sing on drums!!

  • @SirRocko17 Haha you must be joking

  • Dude, that is SICK!!

  • What level is that on easy, medium, hard or expert?

  • Expert.

  • that is truly badass.

    definetly do more

  • dude this is really cool

  • The only thing I could think of that could make this video even more badass would be if he hit 'A' on his controller with his foot for the tambourine notes.

    Awesome job!

  • wut program for editing? how u do teh green around notes? FUCKIN EPIC FC, 5/5

  • thanks dude, and i use Adobe Premiere Elements. i think 3.0.

  • maybe were all just nerds but that was badass.

  • That was so cool! Good to see that you got some recognition from the official Rock Band blog.

  • I'm gonna do this on tuba, so watch out!

  • Fucking Awesome

  • very cool

  • That's awesome

  • You rock, i've been meaning to try this with my guitar but you inspired me to really give it a go x)

  • That was amazing!

It's a good thing I never called you out at a high school football game.

    lol

  • First thing coming into my head- SKA ^^ ur super talented, lol im like temped to try it on my f horn XD

  • lol

    i laugh

  • i gotta try this with my recorder

  • I would like to say, this is retarted, wow, tuff enough without a fucking brass, lol, i used to play trumpet, this is too epic! fav!

  • OMG hi.

  • OMG that was frickin' sweet!

    Amazing!

  • wow that was like godly i love you <3 LOL

  • WOW!! At first I came to this video chuckling thinking "this ought to be good".. but it was much better than I imagined! That's some true skill right there. You've earned another subscriber! <3

Makes me want to try this with my violin... XD

  • fakeeee

  • haha really?

  • yeah, really.

  • how is this possibly fake?

  • Well I can't dispute anything that has to do with hertz, but I can attest to the validity of the Rockband microphone picking up the trombone. Don't know how or why it works, but it does. See my video, if you like! It's not as well-produced as ES942's, but it was still fun to make. Cheers, you guys.

  • so somehow, i recorded myself playing trombone differently, matched the slide positions in a different video, and somehow matched the arrow to the song itself? why don't you try playing a trombone into the mic before saying what you said. speaking of which, your statement is incredibly illogical, because the human voice outputs frequencies much higher than 73.43 Hz.

  • you look EXACTLY like my cousin lol

  • holy fuck

  • You never stop surprising me! I've played the Trombone for 11 years, but that's really impressive, good job!

  • major props. nicely played notes. just try to play them all the way thru. you were getting light on air on some of them.

  • how?

  • well you have a retarded username

  • woop woop

  • that's awesme! I should learn a song on my trombone! You definetely should make some more videos!

  • 1:44 sounds like an elephant LOL

  • 4:21 sounds cool

  • it does sound cool

  • Dude u should do another one not gonna lie and go trombones

  • Bloody genius.

  • LOL SWEET

  • Now do this with something by Rancid. :P

  • lol thats awesome, and teh trombone sound is just perfect with that song :D

  • wow, ive never even thought of doing this. i might try that with my trumpet now, i just have to learn a song

  • Oh man this is just too cool

  • What a bright idea!!!

You are a genius, I love this song but cant quite fc it on expert vocals.

Is there a setting on Pinnacle to overlap the videos, how'd you do that?

  • excellent idea, and great trombone playing.

  • holy crap

  • very impressive can you read music?

  • yeah i'm studying trombone at ithaca college.

  • this is pretty damn impressive lol

  • Wow...nice :O

I think this song is really hard on vocals. I have no idea why. If I played trombone I'd do this to FC it instead of singing.

  • trombone sounds niceer than the singer

  • wow amazing dude nice job u just earned a subscriber :D

  • This kicks serious ass! Do more videos!

  • this is far more epic than expected

  • Why have I never thought of this?!? I am SO trying this at some point this week with my trumpet, thank you for inspiring me, sir.

  • The best part is that with the trombone, this would make a great ska song. I love it.

  • i see you cleaning your spit valve at the end sir.

  • The only way this could be more epic is if you were playing the guitar with your feet and doing pushups.

If you get that reference, give me a Hoo-Rah

  • Hoo-RAH!

  • LMAO

  • win

  • Not only is that impressive but so fantastically hardcore.

  • NCIE!

  • epic

  • NICE

  • win

  • Nice horn. I play on a similar one, an older 42, probably 20-30 years old, with a detachable Thayer valve. The original owner (the 2nd trombone in the Winnipeg Symphony) had that valve put on afterwards, and is an authentic Thayer before Bach bought his patent and started butchering them.

It's got a ton of sentimental value and I adore it. You can see me playing it in a few of my videos.

  • Please don't advertise your videos.

  • You are the proud owner of my 1000th favorited video.

  • This is completely freakin awesome! lol

  • You continue to amaze. <3
