It's some cool artwork taken from the booklet that was shipped together with the game. There are a few other images like this, showing Excalibur in the Lost Woods or the 7 sages sealing away the evil from the Golden Land for example.

Yup, in the French version of the game the Master Sword is actually called Excalibur as in the Legend of Arthur, probably because it sounded better than a straight translation, in my language.

I won't sell video game music covers, because these songs are not mine, and I have no right to ask money for them. To tell you the truth I've been willing to release a CD of my own songs (originals but in the same style) for several years though, but my real life job is a pain and a lot of other projects have been stacking up, always delaying me. A Link to the Past was the third Zelda I had ever played, and it redefined everything I knew about the legendary saga. It's my favorite game in Zelda, my second or third favorite game overall. This is an amazing medley, perfect transitions from song to song and part to part, amazing transformation of synthetic sound to guitar, and amazing ability to be able to play something made from synthesized sounds, and faster, and I love the warps, have to say though, Death Mountain was my favorite part, sounds as evil as it should and as awesome as it was in game, this single remix/medley made me subscribe, other songs only helped :) I think I love this medley >_>

Yup, I basically recorded bass and guitars by playing them myself and then programmed the drums and every other instrument in there. I used Cubase to write everything, and mix the whole after that.

Either way, if this song can put a big smile on people faces, I'm really happy.

Yes, that "game in review" approach was all the point of the song :)

"Flute Boys" ? I don't think so... There are actually a couple themes from the game that I did not include in this big medley. I mostly think about the epilogue theme, or the cave one for example. The epilogue theme would have been a whole song on its own so I saved it for later. But it's already been 6 years, and lots of other game soundtracks have caught my attention since then !
