  • This was an average game at best that looked pretty cool (at the time) but played like a bag of spanners. It seemed to be part of the 'FMV Fad' that swept the market during the early to mid 1990s. The Amiga had some absolutely brilliant games but this wasn't one of them.

  • i had this game and it was crap

  • sprite? the 3d graphics is amazing!

  • I very briefly worked on this game. It was the first game I worked on straight out of college and at the time I wasn't even told the name or what it was about. I just had to go to the office for a week and do filling and a bit of photocopying. On my last day, the Friday, one of the managers said I should stay at his home that weekend. I did as he asked and we both ended up having a lot to drink. Anyway, to cut a long story short, it is my anus that appears in this game.

    Please enjoy it. I did.

  • i had this game, and it was shit...only the FMV -sequences were stunning back then..

Especially in the beginning when the helicopter surprised the guard.

The problem with the game was that you never knew when something hit you.

  • This game looks shit and was reviewed like shit when it came out. I'm pretty sure it WAS shit.

(And before you tell me it was before my time, let me tell you: It wasn't.)

  • Looks like SW:TORs space combat :)

  • I remember seeing this on the Spoony Experiment, and he trashed the hell out of it, but that was the Sega CD version, which compared to this was terrible, but despite that, this actually is pretty damn cool. And the soundtrack is kickass.

  • OK, likening this to Descent is like comparing Pac-Man to Doom... but anyway, it wasn't too bad, though I only ever played the Sega CD version (well and the 3DO version, but it was even worse than the Sega CD version)... this looks a bit better and looks like it plays a hell of a lot better than the Sega CD.

  • This version of this game is totally different from the Sega CD version that Spoony Reveiwed...

  • @Querty1995

That's right: The CD32 Version looked better, the Mega CD Version was more fun.

  • That's a nasty throat infection.

  • sounds like the person who thought up this game must have traveled to the future and saw the world as it will be and came back to make a game about it

  • so wait, you're traveling down an anus?

  • and this is how the little sperm make their way down the ova.... oh its a spaceship!

  • シュポポポポポポポポポポッ!!!

  • do u get to fight AIDS in this game? that would be tough but cool.

  • this looks like a laserdisk arcade game from the early 80s

  • This game is playable on modern computers, google WinUAE. It even runs full speed on my cheap Acer netbook with the Scale2X pixel filter enabled, making the graphics look much better than the original!

  • You too can simulate flying through your intestine in a small spaceship with the new CD32!

  • orgasm, why do everything have to turn into sexual innuendos

  • i remember when this came out,the edge had a feature on the fmv....they said it was great...but they didnt tell us the game was FUCKING SHITE....which it was...still it was better than rise of the robots.....

  • I have cheated in this game it's in my Daily motion site type tinyvi and you will find it there

  • HI! To była jedna z moich najlepszych gier na CD32. Dobrze było sobie przypomnieć;)

  • first game to use fmv looks dated now lol

  • I had my CD32 hooked up to my Amiga as a CD drive, shit-hot for it's day, just like this game. Thanks for sharing

  • this is remiscent of the laserdisk arcade games from the early 80s

seems like amiga cd32 was more of an sega mega cd threat than anything else

  • AVGN said it best: "It's like puking on a pile of shit."

  • i realy feel bad for throwing my amiga cd32 away.. :(

This game was the 1 for me!

  • It's also available for PC. Go to Snesorama and download it!

  • why did you do that?! :(!!

  • HELP! where we can download the Microcosm CD32 soundtrack on mp3?

  • The soundtrack isn't available on MP3 but you can get it in MOD format (winamp plays it) on the address exotica (dot) org (dot) uk (slash) wiki (slash) Microcosm. Look up "MOD music" in google for more information about it

  • you idiots actually liked this game!

  • It was well before your time, so evidently it was worth liking

  • lol dude i can tell you a million reason why this game is terrible

  • im 13 and I liked it

  • Cool! I remember playing this game when I was maybe 3 or 4 :D (about 12-13 years ago)

Hmm... I think i still have that game and console :D

This game was one of my favourites on Amiga CD32. Tower Assault was the best! or Bubba 'n' Sticks

  • THIS WAS MY FIRST GAME EVER ON PC!!!!

IBM Aptiva as i recall... 3x86 with 15"colour monitor

  • Does a sequel to Microcosm exist?

  • this games, is genial!!!!, great!!! on versións 3DO, sega CD and amiga, I love this game...

  • I have the 3D0 version. Don't care for the game much. I've tried several times to beat the first boss, but to no avail. Think I'm gonna rip the soundtrack though

  • I never liked this game - not one of the Amigas best. Give me Speedball 2 or The Chaos Engine anyday

  • This game kicks so much ass!!!

  • that's because it's Microcosm, the interactive colonoscopy adventure

  • LMAO!!

  • Music sounds stellar, but the gameplay is pretty....meh.

  • The music is pumpin', gotta love MOD!

  • one question...with all those lasers and explosions going on, wouldn't they have ruptured the persons veins at least twenty times over? That can't be healthy

  • well these explosions and ships are actually much smaller and not strong enough to rupture veins

  • Wow, this looks wicked! Do you need the full motion video module to play it?

  • No, this game played on every CD32 console straight away.

  • I have finished this game a long time ago... but now I don't even know how to complete the first level... always get lost :(

  • WOW that game looked amazing when I was younger. It looks like your flying through somebody's body. I always wanted to play this!

  • Wow, I used to have this for Mega CD. The music is completely different in this version!

  • For years I never even heard of Amiga. Was it even sold in West Virginia? We have everything from PS3's to Commodores and yet, no Amiga's seen yet. Eternal Champions CD was sold but limited here, yet you could find a large sum of Sonic CD copies. Strange.

  • The "Amiga" series of computers were by Commodore, a European company, who went bankrupt in 1994. They were most popular in Europe but were also used in the US, yet they weren't as popular as the earlier Commodore64 because there were better-selling alternatives that did the same work by Apple Computer and IBM.

  • oh lol. See, I was thinking the Amiga was made by Microsoft fo some odd reason.

  • Commodore was not a European company, though did have extensive operations there.

It was North American, first Canada then the US.

When the Amiga was launched the IBM and Apples sold better, but they could not do the same work. It would take them years to catch up.

  • > did the same work

LOL, no. :) The fact that the Amiga lost over time to the PC would be solely the incompetence of the company itself, and the fact that they lost control of their economy. The machine was way ahead of it's time.

Hehe, there is always an armada of die-hard Amiga fans that will rise up to defend when someone says something like this. I am one of them. :-)

  • This particular game is a game for Commodore's only game console, which was essentially one of their computers (the A1200) with a CDROM and a different board layout/chassis/no keyboard. It was Commodore's last hope, and got shot down by the more popular Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn and Nintendo 64.

  • You are partially correct though this was not Commodore's only game console. It was their last, though they were working on one using the "hombre" chipset when they died. Also the consoles you mention were launched long after Commodore went bust, so they did not "shoot down the CD32".

  • You have actually made this game look good. The last video I saw of this had the guy dying every 5 seconds.

You are one hard guy to kill.

Also, the guy in the ship is completely calm while his ship is exploding.

  • i had a CD 32 power !!!!!!! palying microcosm was so great ! amazing in 1993 !!!! orly megacd version with 32 colours lol !!!!!!!! AMIGA RULEZ !!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my god this is the first electronic game i ever played.Grats for the upload mate! ;)

  • Ah great days of gaming

  • I also finished it. This game was totally chaotic.

  • heh, kurde troszke pojechali z poziomem to fakt: jak skonczysz to wez nagraj bym obejrzal koniec :)

    pozdr

  • Did you finish this game? Do You have finishing movie for this game?

  • Mam zamiar go skończyć ale jest cholernie trudny :)
