You need to be more creative and daring. I don't think your heart is really in music. Your songs don't seem to really be inspired and you are not being inventive enough. I'm not saying you don't have the potential, it's just that you've got to think outside the box more. Study all types of music, really analyze them, even music that you are not interested in. Study some psychology books and books about creativity. Study philosophy. Spend time crafting great songs.

You should focus on doing more original songs. Creativity is about the recombination of known elements into a fresh configuration. Try taking a song that you like and then altering some parts of it until until it becomes a new song. Like you could take this song and use the same chord progression, but change the melody a little. Then change the chord progression a little. You'll have your very own song.
