It is so funny because on 5:20 we can cleary see that there is a bird head but the same shoot with the nikon, there is black spot and we cant even recognise what it is :D he is really so fan of nikon and tries so hard to show that nikon is better which is not obviously :D

They are pretty much almost equal in my eyes. the nikon however gets the slight edge due to the 9 bladed aperture. Buts its about a smidgen. I noticed cat eyes on both at wide. Im sure the L is about the same as the nikon. both create pleasing bokeh, but not as bokehlicious as 85 f1.4 , but probably slightly behind 70-200s.

Nikon wins. But it wasn't even a fair fight. They used the 9 blade $900 lens from Nikon and the 8 blade $600 lens from canon. Why would they do this when the L 100 macro is priced the same as the Nikon they chose with more similar features? That was a bitch move from digital rev this time. They pretty much just gave it to Nikon.

I was surprise at how much better the Nikon 105mm performed over the Canon 100mm. Most agree that the Nikon was better, and I expected this to be so... but I didn't think it would be this one sided. No only is the Nikon Bokeh better... but the images are sharper, with better contrast and color as well.

OK, i got the nikon lens and i got to say...it's the best macro lens i've work with.

It's super sharp from 2.8 to 22 (up to 32 not so sharp).

I love the contrast.

Super fast focus.

Perfect for portraits.

Exelent for modeling photoshoots.
