@janken919 Tricky one to explain in this small space but - in a nutshell: harmonic minor is used for the harmony of music whereas the melodic scale is, often but not always, used for the melody. Loads of people will disagree with this so the health warning here is that this is a very simplified overview. Perhaps a topic for a future video...? @janken919 to create a leading tone that resolves to the tonic.Since the leading tone has a tendency to rise a step, and though the raised 7th degree causes an augmented second between the 6th and 7th notes, so the leading note should be approached from the 5th, creating a major 3rd or the 2nd creating a major 6th, ascending. cheers :D
