  • While most game makers only used the PCM channel for sound effects, Sunsoft used it for the bassline of their music tracks. The difference is shocking as you can hear, it sounds very vibrant for an 8-bit machine.

  • 4:40 It's like he's getting down to the music

  • why cant u listen to music from TODAYS games like you could back in the 90's?

  • This and Fester's Quest - two games I went back to not too long ago and beat for the first time. Actually, I beat a lot of my other NES games that I never got around to beating. I think I also beat Little Mermaid and Star Tropics 2.

  • I loved this game. I wish it was a little longer.

  • OMG!!! They have a Gremins game I don't own it right now!?

  • HAHA! Holy shit! I didn't even know this game existed LOL! Great soundtrack though.

Jesus man, brings me back to 1984, and the film. I owned so much "Gremilin" memorbilia lol!

  • Didn't know grimlins was this old!

  • enfin un gar serieux bonne video thanks

  • Sunsoft music, so fuckin' great.

  • This game set the standard for office buildings. You can't run across one nowadays that doesn't have bottomless pits or elevators that only service two adjoining floors.

  • Bouncing tomatoes and bats? ...they really had to stretch for this one, didn't they?

  • That's Sunsoft for ya. I always loved their good music soundtracks, especially the ones in this game.

Ever heard music from NES' Batman, SNES' Lemmings, and last but not least SNES' Adventure Island? Then you heard the stunning creativity of Sunsoft's composers! I'll never forget 'em.

  • This game had some of the best graphics ya ever did see on the NES.

Why weren't more games made by warner in this fashion?

    =-=;

  • Sunsoft games have great music.

  • This was a good game ..me and my bro rented as kids and beat it,

memorable, and had some good tunes....

  • 4:10 reminds me of china...

  • @xxsamiskwlxx

Well, yeah. That's the theme they use in the Chinaman's store.

  • 1:17 dumbledore?

  • Sunsoft games always had great music on the nes

  • Kinda sounds like Ghosts n' Goblins for NES at 1:04 : P

  • I loved this game, and it's soundtrack! The only thing I didn't like, was the abscence of "The Gremlin Rag" (the Gremlins theme from the movies) in the game. If that had been there, it would have been perfect!

  • that was a great game

  • this game, batman, and little nemo are how movie-to-game transitions should be done. highly underrated game imho.

  • 2:05 and forth the best ever ... The Game Over-cover is awesome

  • @ildur of course! ill love this track forever haha

  • pretty good graphics for the NES.

  • Ahhh, th 90's decades were the Golden years of all things, THE GOOD OL DAYS!

This game had weird ass enemies. jumping tomatoes, bats in laboratories, etc but the graphics are wonderful for an NES game and the mucic?? OWNS!!!

  • true man trueeee!!!

  • i beat this game [after many game overs]

  • Never played the game but they did a great job of capturing the sound from the movie.

  • trial and error xP

  • This game was hard as hell.

  • not really only like the last stage. i beat this game at my cousins place, i didnt even own it

  • this music's awesome, but ive never played this game =X (ive seen videos of gameplay though.)

but yeah, just wondering, that Chime at the VERY END of this video, what part of the game is that from?

  • You mean the very last seconds? That's from the game over screen.

  • This was actually one of Sunsoft's best games. Then again, I always liked Sunsoft. I liked their controls. They executed the movie-to-game concept very well w/ this. I always liked to think of this as a hypothetic rendition of what wouldve happened in the movie if Gizmo was never captured by Mohawk. But wheres stage 2's music? That was one of my favs.

  • SunSoft's soundtracks are truly amazing!

  • i remember this game.

back then it was damn hrd to beat xd

  • this video made my day *-* all my childhood ^^ thanks for post it

  • the song at 0:58 - 2:02 made my day

  • The dude that opens the cage looks like David Hasselfhoff :P.

  • lol xD

  • :))))))

  • Classic game, but CHEAP deaths, just like Mario 3.

  • Who would design an office full of several types of spikes, loose electricity, inconveniently placed bottomless pits, lava, more inconveniently placed conveyor belts, moving platforms and moving flails. Not to mention the infestation of rats, bats and tomatoes(?).

  • its just to make harder genius

  • Hmmm...maybe modern office designers should have a lot to learn from this.

  • I remeber this game, this is a truely a great game specially the soundtrack, but it's a short one.. =P..

  • OMG! YOU CAN BE GIZMO!!!!!!!!

  • my favourite music in the game 1:05

  • swear to god kicks ass

    -hero

  • ok!?

  • AKAAAAIIII!!!!

    -hero

  • Man, what happened to Sunsoft? All their games and soundtracks were so fucking good in the NES days. Gremlins 2, Batman, etc, all great games and soundtracks.

  • Anybody remember seeing that shadow gremlin on stage 2-1? What was the point of him? Did anybody EVER catch up with that guy?

  • yeah i would see that thing every other playthrough.. stupid me at 5 i thought it was a witch. i don't think you were meant to catch him. a neat easter egg though

  • It's just a warning that the Gremlins are coming up, granted it wasn't until the next level, but that's the point.

  • This was a very fun game. The NES days really spoiled me when it came to movie games. Now I hardly even bother looking at them.

I mean, what happened to the days where a movie game didn't always have to be released before the movie? You know, when the studios would actually have time to focus on making a GOOD game?!

  • Not only fantastic showcase of classic NES video game music but it also completly fits the style of the Gremlins theme- it sounds near enough like it was done by Jerry Goldsmith himself, the same vein as the movie's music.

  • the first level music is so amazing!

even to this day... it comes to my head from time to time

  • Sunsoft made some of the best tunes on the NES (along with Konami, Capcom, and Nintendo). They always made good use of the DCPM channel (which a lot of games ignored)to create those cool drum beats.

  • lol giz just jumps over those cliffs like "lol? did they really want to hold me with that shit?"

  • Oh my god. This music is SO AWESOME.

  • THIS SHIT ROCKS

  • Indeed really good music for its age

  • Really good music for an old nes game like this

  • I like the song that starts at 0:58 the best.

  • Agreed :D

  • YEAH!

  • Music sounds like an darker soundtract to Journey to Silius after I've listen to it again. Never could get far in this game, but I've always loved the music. Gizmo's the shit!

  • Not enough comments on what is probably the best soundtrack SunSoft produced.

  • I have played a gremlins game on amiga

  • thanks!

    One of the best videogame-soundtracks!
