  • Comment removed

  • @logan2233e It was Stephen Fry.

  • i'm as mad as i am but no madder, superb!!

  • There is only one thing that could save the show House. This.

  • I genuinly know someone like this...

  • he mad bro?

  • 27 people are a bit more mad.

  • HOUSEEE !

  • A Smile a day keeps the doctor away, and it's free too!

  • ... so by right i should be a liberal demochrat.

but as an atctual fact, im a nazi.

    lol! :D i love hugh

  • The british english accent is awesome... i wish i was born in England. And it's amazing how Hugh swapped the accent into american english with so much perfection.

  • The lengths you have to go to prove you're mad T-T.

  • Laurie was great in this scetch!!!

  • The talking head is quite pertinent seeing as how right wing the Lib Dems have gone.

  • If you want things done in this country, you have to complain till you're blue in the mouth.

  • @rockingKitten nice reference

  • i think he may be a little more than slightlyy mad lol but hes still cute:):)

  • oh GIVE THE MAN A BLOODY MEDAL! lmao

  • I love it.. I'm really sympathizing with the patient.. It's a service you pay for.. oughtta get results.

  • "O GIVE THE MAN A BLOODY MEDAL!!!!!"

  • Dr. Gordon Gordan Wyatt councils Dr. Gregory House.

  • @matchbox555 Holy shit, you're hitting the related videos as well?

  • "Give the man a bloody medal!!" xDD

  • Lol, I love these guys

  • you write letters into the daily mail?

  • my father was a conservative, my motrher voted labour, so I guese by righs I should be a liberal democrat - but in actual fact I'm a nazi

    XD

  • It should be clear that, were this released today, the proof would not be letters to second- and third-rate British papers, but YouTube comments, yes? Clearly anyone who spends time commenting on YT is at LEAST "slightly" mad.

(You what? You need my CHEST SIZE? What is this, some sort of YouTube comments GAME?!)

  • @mcgeesorg

If you don't think you're slightly mad you're probably completely bonkers.

  • @Libervurto Oh, no, I'm CERTAIN that I AM completely bonkers. Which makes me perfectly sane.

  • @mcgeesorg

Ah, but you see I didn't say you were sane if you thought you were completely bonkers, I only said you weren't completely mad if you thought you were SLIGHTLY mad. So I'm afraid you're a stark raving basket case.

  • @Libervurto I'm sorry, I didn't catch that. I've stuffed shredded cabbage into my ears.

  • 3:54 classic.

  • Stop arguing about irrelevant stuff and watch the video dammit. AND DON"T SIMPER!

  • "I can imagine you wanted me to went around wrapped in bacon, pretending to be Florence Nightingale. Well I'm sorry, I'm as mad as I am, but no madder!"

Ahh, they crack me up those two :D

  • Hugh Laurie is always great in these eccentric, energetic roles.

  • YOU MAD?

  • I'm slightly mad, and I want you to cure me!!

  • "I'm as mad as I am, but no madder" Story of my life!

  • To the people arguing about Britain and America, you're arguments almost made me laugh more than the video (but not quite because Fry and Laurie are awesome). On a more serious note, I strongly doubt there is a single "most hated nation in the world", and if there is a nationality that has not one instant of raping/pillaging/conquering/oppressing etc. in their past, they must be made up of some sort of omnibenevolent alien race, not homo sapiens.

  • @TFMSwarhead You took the words right out of my mouth. amen.

  • I will never cease to be amazed at how the most innocuous video on this site almost invariably leads to a screeching, gibbering political hate-fest..... this is a COMEDY clip, people!! Take a deep breath, pet a dog, have a walk around the block, something..... relax, can't you?? Sheesh!!!

  • @terrydalek Psh. You pinko commies and your high and mighty *I don't want to get in a political debate on a comedy video comment thread* Hmph!

  • ''I HAVE'NT COME HERE FOR DANCING LESSONS! OR FREE SEX!'' lmao :)

  • Oh gosh that end bit was hilarious! XD

  • I KNOW I DO! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! xD

  • i hate the rcorded laughs

  • @FuhrerKaiser it was filmed in front of a studio audience. You even see them in a lot of the shows.

  • 42 What?

  • @memattman777 Inches.

  • I love the way Hugh's expression as he raises his head when he pronounces the word "Nazi" XD

  • I like how stephen is usually the "normal" person in these sketches and Hugh is the "different" person who thinks in a completely different way.

  • @Anthonyk312 I agree - and that's why I find it surprising that most people seem to write off Hugh as the "straight man". He's fantastic at being a little nuts.

  • 'Oh, give the man a bloody medal!' hahahahahahahahaha

  • This is so Python-esque, I love it. Laurie's character is kind of like House, too.

  • OH, Oh, well, then. Well well well well

  • I think Stewie from family was a direct immitation of Hugh Laurie

  • I think this is Laurie trying out what would later become House!

  • Oh myyyy, look at Laurie in that trench coat! <3

  • You write letters to the Daily Mail???? Oh hahahahahaha....

  • "You take off your shoes and put a piece of bread in each one?"

    "I KNOW I DO!"

    LOL!!!

  • The US equivalent of this would be writing letters to the NY Post and the Daily News.

  • hugh's face looks like shane dawson's ^^

  • i love hugh as a woman!!!

  • SOMEONE looks excellent in a trench coat.

  • Daily Mail, The Sun and The Mirror? He HAS TO be mad as a hatter xD

  • i am mad, now cure me. lol

  • Laurie sounds like Stewie Griffin in this clip! :D

  • Its so sad this England v American thing. Its so stupid. I'm English & I absolutely love Americans & their culture (not to mention they make the best TV in the world!!!) can't we all just get along?

  • @Tinablahblah Stupid indeed! I'm American and I love British culture and television!

  • @Tinablahblah

American culture? I think thats a bit of an overstatement... but i agree on the get along part.

  • those paintings were crap

  • Хрень полная.

  • Also I think they might have been the second coming of Monty Python. Seriously. It's amazing how good they are together.

  • In retrospect this is kind of uncomfortable to watch. Stephen Fry turned out to be bipolar and was at one point suicidal. Hugh Laurie has clinical depression.

  • @aquagrl63 Stephen Fry is quite open about his bipolar disorder though: he even did a documentary on it called The Secret Life of the Manic-Depressive.

  • This America bashing is a bit sad. I feel like I'm in kindergarten. But please, continue this spelling war. -.-"

  • By far my favourite sketch!

  • Is Hugh trying to exemplify that English people typically mean 'insane' by the word 'mad', but Americans mean 'angry' by it, and doing so by exaggerating both anger and insanity? That's what I gathered, but I'm probably wrong. In any case, thanks for the upload, this has been one of my favorite Fry and Laurie bit for years.

  • @SpartacusFrye. Nah, he's just using it to mean that he's a bit barmy. Off his rocker, completely bonkers, bat-shit insane.

  • Quite a few of these comments could be published in the Daily Mail actually.

  • God, these comments just ruined my day, I'm an American living in England and I get this a lot...

  • well,well,well well ! haha I love hugh :D

  • I'm not even American. I was just fighting against all the America-bashing. You guys are so racist/xenophobic it's unbelievable.

"Americans are fat and stupid and have crap senses of humor and they spell and pronounce things wrong." Such a civilized bunch you are to recognize all their flaws!

America is brilliant, the anglophone world would be fecked without them, no one would be learning English and you guys might actually have to learn a language before you went on holidays.

  • P.s

You spell things wrong, wrong, wrooooooong, that is more than opinion... In my opinion?

  • @shmdbinimi Americans spell things the original, older, better, more phonetic, Englsih//Latin way, the English started adding U s to be more like the French. I'm not sure where the whole "Z" vs "s" Practice vs. Practise things came in.

  • ... I appreciate what you are saying but the Americans have completly destroyed the ancient greek side of things, off the top of my head the only example I can think of is paedophille... you have also your pronounciation is off for a few words...

  • No, your pronunciation is off. Far more people pronounce it our way than your way, more often than not our way is the original way and your way is some kind of in-bred evolution of sound.

Anyway as I said more people pronounce it our way, and language is diplomatic, therefore we win you loose, now start practicing (with a C) pronouncing your Rs.

  • actually in english we use both practice and practise

practice is use when talking about an office practice like a doctors practice

and practise is used when practicing something like an instrument

  • Christ.. In other words what you're saying is is that "Practice" is the noun and "Practise" is the verb.

Of course I knew that. In American English we use practice for both and it's the origin of that I don't know, that is the difference I was thinking about.

  • yeah thats exactley what i was tryna say but im really stupid so well you know anywhoo americans messed up all words and thats all i have to say really

  • oh sorry i only looked at your name now i thought that you were the stupid american one that thinks the americans spell better that us!

  • @rabbitwho

Your opinion is valid but you just demonstrated perhaps your country's biggest flaw, you don't very much understand the concept of diversity and opinions - just becuase you believe it doesn't make it a fact... that and you have some stupid accents (in my opinion) ^^

  • To be fair, when I first saw House, I said "Hey! It's Wooster!"

I understand he's an actor. I just associate him strongly with that character.

  • @theladyprimrose and the first time I saw House, all I could think when I saw the character Cuddy was "Hey! There's that transsexual from Ally McBeal!"

  • does anyone really give a shit?? its comedy. laughter spreads around the world regardless of what country its from. all of you who sit here and talk shit about americans and those americans that talk shit about england are frankly a bit retarded. this man is extremely talented regardless of where he is from. it wasnt his fucking country that gave him he talent. fucking dumb asses lmao

  • To my knowledge Americans don't talk shit about England, The only one doing that was me and I'm not American. All they want to do is Praise House. but every single youtube video about Hugh Laurrie turns into a discussion about how England is better than America, English people are so determined that everybody think they're superior that it just has the opposite effect.

Anyway you have the right attitude, where your from has no effect on your talent or intelligence.

  • @rabbitwho its funny you say that when america is best known for its people thinking theyre superior to every1, as well as being ignorant beyond belief about the world around them

  • I know i do!What is your problem?

  • Oh,am I going to teach you your job now?

  • @westfingers24 What is this some kind of game?

  • It would have been brilliant if Fry had been Greg House's attending psychiatrist in the season opener of HOUSE this past year. The black gentleman from MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE was great, but nostalgia would prevail if Fry gets to be part of a story arch on HOUSE.

  • Hugh Laurie is perhaps one of the finest men that has ever walked the earth.

  • Along with Fry.
