Hello. I really want to learn more about the Ainu culture also. I'm Japanese, but they are my ancestors, although I don't really know a lot about them.

The Ainu came from Russia origially. Why on earth are you rambling on about African culture and aboriginies and so on. What's that got to do with the Ainu? They're all tribes that lived in a country that was taken over by other people - noone's trying to "water that down here". I think you completely misunderstood what microdot said. @SecretQT1 Sorry, maybe that was a bit unclear. I meant that they came to (what today is Japan) via Sachalin (which now belongs to Russia). They are not related to the Japanese who came to the island via migration from Korea/China or South-East Asia.

Well... those are the prevalent theories. Definite proof of where theJapanese came from is hard because the language is so isolated. I'm not overly familiar with the Ainu language, but I believe there's a similar problem.

I totally agree with you on most of the points. The Ainu are an ancient race that were in Japan before the Japanese were. They have more genetic points that can be linked with Neandrathal DNA, as I myself have. I referred to the religious rituals of the Ainu, which involved adopting a bear cub as the embodiment of the deity. The bear, at maturity was killed in a ritual manner. The Lapps, which share the same genetic points, had a ritual quite like it. Ditto for the Siberian tribes.

I'm Japanese with a clear-cut face and that's why sometimes cheated Ainu-jin, but I don't know where ancestors come from and think we are all Japanese. That instrument is similar to Siberian and Hokkaido had a lot of great Sumo wrestlers. Also I'm 187cm. But I don't think we link with caucasian. There are many people taller than me in Tokyo and Mongolian also have that kind of instrument. MIX, it is Japan.
