They do cheat, Alive One and Two are basically studio albums with canned audience noise added in. The live tracks are completely buried under tons of overdubs. Just watch the Kissologies to hear how they REALLY sounded live, and you'll see this. But I loved them anyway!
I don't know about that, because live they don't play the same as on the album. Live thay tune all of their guitars down to Eb or a half-step specifically for vocal reasons. A lot of bands do that, it makes it easier for the singer to sing his parts. I think what you're referring to is just little cracks/bits in the audio that were recorded a little messed up.

Oh, man, don't get me started with all the great lead guitarists. I've always been a rocker, but now at 42, I should slowing down. Instead, I am now buying all the old rock that I couldn't afford before, and hitting the hard rock more than ever. Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhodes and Zakk Wylde from Ozzy, Eddy Van Halen, Angus Young from AC/DC, too many to name. I am already starting to make a compilation disc to be distributed at my funeral 30-40 years from now. LOL

I have both Kissology and Kissology 2 on dvds and many others on vhs too and KISS rules!!!! I've a Kiss fan since I was a kid back in the 70's.

I must say that even though Gene Simmons is the most welknown band member I think Paul stanly is a bit better his vocals are amazing..this one of the only bands i can say that sound just as good live as they do in the studio's

no, now thats fucking bullshit. all of their stuff during the 80's sucked bass wise, because gene was too caught up in his movie career, and while lick it up may be a good song, the fact that all he does is pound out eighth notes really deters you from playing anything from the 80s

They do cheat, Alive One and Two are basically studio albums with canned audience noise added in. The live tracks are completely buried under tons of overdubs. Just watch the Kissologies to hear how they REALLY sounded live, and you'll see this. But I loved them anyway!

I don't know about that, because live they don't play the same as on the album. Live thay tune all of their guitars down to Eb or a half-step specifically for vocal reasons. A lot of bands do that, it makes it easier for the singer to sing his parts. I think what you're referring to is just little cracks/bits in the audio that were recorded a little messed up.
