  • 86WatchThis; Yes, Mario's Father was a sculptor and special effects artist, who worked extensively during the silent era of cinema. Also, if you look closely at the severed head of the Wurdalak during the second story of BLACK SABBATH, you will see that it is in fact Mario's head! A little in-joke on behalf of the Director, I think!

  • 86WatchThis; I actually cannot watch "The Drop Of Water" due to the face of the Old Witch/Medium......I am certain that Bava used a REAL death-mask to create that effect!

  • @eibon81 "the drop of water" really is one of the creepiest movies/segments/whatever ever made. didn't bava's father's career revolve around making dolls and mannequins? he also had a hand on all the mannequins in "lisa and the devil". very gifted man. and "the house with the laughing windows" has got to be one of the weirdest gialli. very good!

  • TheJillkill: DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING is excellent, one of Fulci's best! Look out for the chain-whipping scene! Another Italian Horror Film you should ALL see......HOUSE WITH THE LAUGHING WINDOWS (1976) Directed by Pupi Avati. Very tense, atmospheric, stylish, bloody AND scary.....with one Hell of a twist ending!

  • Black Sabbath is awesome. I've never seen Don't Torture a Duckling, but I love giallo and Italian horror so I need to see it!
