This is an awesome video! I LOVE co-op splitscreen playing with a friend right next to you on the couch. I hate games that I think should be co-op but aren't. I also remember playing an older madden a long time ago and I remember not being able to play 2 people on same team vs AI. Things like this make me pissed. I hate having to play against my friend over and over again, but I love to work together to whoop ass.

GREAT VIDEO. I agree. I think the last game I bought that was actually Co-Op and FUN was Sunset Riders for the snes. Since then I havnt seen anything put out as far as Co-Op which sucks if you have to share a game system with a sibling.

Part of what we are doing at Co-Optimus is to work with publishers and developers to communicate exactly what the co-op experience is. While I agree with your view and definition of co-op; we've found that a lot of people - and I mean gamers - have their own definition. They just want to play together with friends, have fun and work towards a common goal against AI. It's not co-op by a traditional definition, but there's enough interest in it to make it relevant.

I really wish game developers put in more local co-op into their games when you're with AI most of the time in single player. I'm also referring to system link co-op as well.

Also, I think game developers are re-releasing older titles for current generation systems for gamers who haven't played them when they originally came out or who simply don't own copies of them or the original systems they were released for.

Well, the only reason why games back in the day that announced "2-player Simultaneous" was because in was a relatively new feature. Most of the games were 2-player....seperate, you had to pass the controller to your friend when you died like in Mario Bros. Games like that don't exist anymore, they're with co-op or not. After going back home we run those just to find out that the levels are different and its not story mode its just some Shit ass missions that take 4 minutes to complete.
