it's a tap harmonic...

you have to tap just 12 fret above the fret you are playing

I can't get my harmonics that loud and clear.  Even with a BOSS DS-1 and A Fender Stratocaster. Even with a high gain amp, i can't get this, and i'm not trying to sound cocky here, but i am doing it right, like. Please help!!!! Matt.

the matter of that kind of harmonics in my rig is only the OD,and the tube amp....

mine is a very little 11W tube amp...., with drive and volume near the maximum....

but i need an attenuator (Weber miniMASS) to use it in my house...

that's why i can get that tone and that harmonics...

but it's not too difficult had it...

you had to tap it on the right spot...

Thank u alot!!! I'm a big fan of U2, and noticed that people using Solid State amps, generally find it harder to get the harmonics in say: "Pride" or "I Will Follow." I've researched around a bit, a found that tube amps are loved for their warm, clear harmonics and cranked over driven tones. Do u recommend me bying a small, cheap tube amp for playing U2? I can't by a VOX AC-30 yet 'cause i'm only 13 years old!!! Cheers, Matt.

uhm...i think that anyway a good solid state amp will do a great job...

but the important is finding teh right drive amount...

too little will not create harmonics,but too much drive will make sound too noisy...

if you have a solid amp try to playng with your amp's control knob...and eventually buy an ovredrive pedal...

it will surely works!
