It's not wrong to give your own interpretation but "Beat it" is al about how you bend the notes and the way you tap (timing). It's all about feeling... "Beat it" is not which notes you hit or what you are playing but HOW you hit the notes and HOW you play the solo.

I'm not saying you play it bad but if you play one of Eddies solo than you can expect negative response.
