  • Use the multimeter on the OHM setting. The ohm's will change with the float level. Find with a manual what your ohm's should be.

  • The sender is just sending a voltage proportional to the float position. Measure the sender voltage with a voltmeter to determine if it is working on not.

  • @kb5won A sending unit measures resistance - not voltage. I don't think you'd want electricity passing through your gas tank...

  • @Maugh0372 'how' do you measure resistance? If you don't want electricity passing through your tank, then tell me why we run electrical wires to it? (hint V = I x R)
