waylin46320 - the hydrometer doesn't measure the alcohol content of beer, it measures the density of the liquid relative to water ... or to put it another way, the potential alcohol content. Since the beer in this video is done fermenting, the potential alcohol (the amount of sugar left unfermented) is very low. Its actual abv is roughly 4.9%. Cheers!
